The future bride is a daughter of Hanneke Elemans, Pottstown, Pa., and Gary Kunkle, Exton, Pa. The prospective bridegroom is a son of John and Kim Gump, Charlotte, N.C., and Bill and Trudy McKendry, Hermitage.

The betrothed are Indiana University of Pennsylvania alumni. Miss Kunkle earned a degree in business marketing; and her fiance, in industrial management and management information.

The bride-to-be is a 1998 Downingtown (Pa.) High School graduate. She is an office manager for Methods in Charlotte.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1998 Sharon High School alumnus. He is a construction manager with Shea Homes in Charlotte.
