Today's obituaries Mary E. Anderson Mary E. Anderson, 703 Idaho St., Sharon, died Saturday evening (5-27-00) in the home of her daughter, Nadine El Hakim, 1515 Parke Drive, Apartment 2C, Hermitage, from complications of diabetes. She was 80. Obituary information was incomplete.
ANDERSON Eva Mae Davis Obituary was published 5-28-00 The middle name and first paragraph of an obituary published Sunday incorrectly identified the deceased’s middle name. Her name is Eva Mae Davis. The error was The Herald’s.
DAVIS Gregory Scott Humphrey Businessman was chaplain for Sons of American Legion Gregory Scott Humphrey, 476 W. Mercer St., Harrisville, died at 10 a.m. Saturday (5-27-00) in United Community Hospital, Pine Township, after suffering an apparent heart attack while decorating graves for Memorial Day in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville. He was 41. Mr. Humphrey was Jan. 5, 1959, in Grove City to Andrew James Bonetti and Barbara Ann Humphrey. He was a 1977 alumnus of Slippery Rock High School. Employed by Younkins Plumbing and Heating since 1978, Mr. Humphrey owned it for the last six years and also worked for Cooper Energy Services Reciprocating Products, both Grove City. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City, where he belonged to The Gate Life Sunday school class. A member of Sons of the American Legion Post 852, Harrisville, Mr. Humphrey served as a chaplain. Surviving are: his wife, the former Gena Ann Younkins, whom he married Jan. 14, 1978; a daughter, Brandi Humphrey Watkins, Sharon; a son, Gabriel Scott, at home; a stepsister, Mrs. David P. (Bonnie) Miller, New Castle; and a stepbrother, Robert Bonetti, Butler. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 210 S. Broad St., Box 368, Grove City 16127; or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
HUMPHREY John Komar John Komar, New Bedford, died Sunday afternoon (5-28-00) in the hospital of Jameson Health System, New Castle. He was 90. Obituary information was incomplete.
KOMAR Willie A. Pierce Retired steamfitter was member of masonic lodge Willie A. Pierce, Old Fredonia Road, Coolspring Township, died at 11 p.m. Saturday (5-27-00) in Countryside Convalescent Home, East Lackawannock Township, after an extended illness. He was 82. Mr. Pierce was born Aug. 27, 1917, in Elizabethton, Tenn., to Jeff Walker and Cora Bowers Pierce. A retired steamfitter, he was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Watauga (Tenn.) Lodge 0622 and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a Protestant. His wife, the former Ethel Cates, whom he married Sept. 10, 1939, died Dec. 7, 1993. Surviving are: two sons, Willie J. "Tony," Mercer; and Jerry C., Jefferson Township; a sister, Francis McCloud, Elizabethton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Melvin and Carroll; and four sisters, Ruth Justice, Lillian McCloud, Mabel Campbell and Belle Starnes. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Emmanuel Christian Church, 4495 Greenville-Sandy Lake Road, Stoneboro 16153.
PIERCE Milton ‘Bubba’ Somerset Milton "Bubba" Somerset, 411 Fruit Ave., Farrell, died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday (5-28-00) in United Community Hospital, Pine Township. He was 62. Obituary information was incomplete.
