Joe Dryer Sharon Steel retiree was born in Alabama A funeral service will be held Monday for Joe Dryer, Woodland Place Inc., Coolspring Township, formerly of 1122 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon. He died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 90. Mr. Dryer was born Dec. 2, 1911, in Tuskegee, Ala., to Roe and Parthenia Akers Dryer. He retired after many years of employment with the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant. Mr. Dryer was a former member of New Hope Baptist Church in Farrell. His wife, the former Gwendolyn Atkins, whom he married Feb. 24, 1962, died Feb. 5, 1976. Surviving are: one son, Joseph Edward Dryer and his wife Earlean; and one granddaughter, Gwendolyn Dryer, all Sharon; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. A sister, Sarah Kemp, 92, of Clinton, Md., formerly of Farrell, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, in a Washington, D.C., nursing home. She will be buried Jan. 16 in the Washington area. Mrs. Kemp and Mr. Dryer were the last of 10 siblings. Besides his wife, Mrs. Kemp and his eight other siblings, he was preceded in death by his parents.
DRYER Elda Bianci Elda Bianci, 6021 Wise Road, West Middlesex, died at 2 a.m. today (1-11-02) in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown. She was 89. Obituary information was incomplete.
BIANCI Richard A. Jordan State social worker for more than 30 years had sister here ERIE -- Richard A. Jordan, 2674 Willowood Drive, Erie, died at 12:40 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, in Hamot Medical Center. He was 54. Mr. Jordan was born Aug. 4, 1947, in Sharon, where he was reared, a son of the late William and Caroline Manilla Jordan. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. In 2001, Mr. Jordan retired from the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation in Erie, where he was a counselor for 30 years. He was a member and past president of the Erie County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association and also served on its board of directors. Mr. Jordan was an active member of the Erie Maennerchor Club. Survivors include: two daughters, Sherry Ziesenheim and her husband Erik, Columbus, Ohio; and Christine Henderson, Albion; a granddaughter, Emma Henderson; two brothers, James Jordan and his wife Linda, Warren, Ohio; and William Jordan and his wife Rita, Strausburg, Pa.; one sister, Patricia Thompson and her husband Joe, Sharpsville; his former wife, Betty Schubert, Erie; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Erie County Chapter of Penn State Alumni Association in care of Penn State Erie-Behrend College, 5091 Station Road, Erie 16563; or to the Diabetes Association of Erie County, 3850 Walker Blvd., Erie 16509.

MOSS John F. Fedorko John F. Fedorko, Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage, formerly of Euclid Avenue, Sharon, died at 9:35 p.m. Thursday (1-10-02) in the skilled care unit of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 79. Obituary information was incomplete.
FEDORKO Florence Anna Campbell Tax collector ran farm with husband, belonged to grange SOUTH WALES, N.Y. -- Florence Anna Campbell of 50 North Ave., West Seneca, N.Y., formerly of Wolf Creek Township, passed away at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, in her daughter's home in South Wales. She was 89. Mrs. Campbell was born May 21, 1912, in Jackson Center to the late John Rankin Moon and Elfie Blanche Turner Moon. Mrs. Campbell graduated from Mercer High School and from the former Sharon Business School. She and her late husband, Leroy Campbell, whom she married June 28, 1932, operated a Guernsey dairy farm in Centertown for 40 years. She then lived in Grove City for 10 years prior to moving seven years ago to United Church Manor, a senior housing facility in West Seneca, to be near her daughter and family. Mrs. Campbell worked as a tax collector for Wolf Creek Township and as a tipstaff at Mercer County Courthouse. Throughout her lifetime, she was active in many church activities as a former member of East Main Presbyterian Church in Grove City and, in recent years, First Presbyterian Church of West Seneca. Mrs. Campbell was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing 500 cards. She loved spending time with her family. She was a 50-year member of Millbrook Grange. Surviving are: her daughter, Mrs. George (Ruthie L.) Hunt, South Wales; a son, Allen L. Campbell and his wife Nala Campbell, Brewer, Maine; three sisters, Della Dick, Jackson Center; Luceille Urmson, Transfer; and Blanche McClearn, Stoneboro; five brothers, Kenneth Moon, Jackson Center; Wallace Moon, Williamsport, Pa.; Raymond Moon, Mercer; Paul Moon, Waterford; and Russell Moon, Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, who died Oct. 20, 1978, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Allen and Perry Moon; and one sister, Madeline Roper. CAMPBELL George T. Clovesko Westinghouse retiree was member of St. Ann's Church George T. Clovesko, 1330 Kimberly Road, Sharon, died at 5:50 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, in O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home, Masury. He was 91. Mr. Clovesko was born May 1, 1910, in Farrell to Frank and Anna Chalupka Clovesko. He retired after 40 years of employment at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., where he was a shipper. Mr. Clovesko was a member of St. Ann's Church in Farrell. Surviving are: his wife, the former Madeline Gaydos, whom he married July 18, 1935, a resident in O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home; a son, George Clovesko Jr., Clark; a daughter, Monica C. Wiesen, wife of Robert, Hermitage; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Clovesko was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and Edward Clovesko; and a sister, Kathryn Markovich.
CLOVESKO Della M. Clark Douglass Retiree of ex-Seneca Bank belonged to Eastern Star GIBSONIA, Pa. -- A private funeral service will be held Saturday for Della M. Clark Douglass, Gibsonia, formerly of Sarasota, Fla.; and Sharon. She died at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, in Fosnight of Valencia. She was 95. Mrs. Douglass was born Sept. 5, 1906, in Lawrence County to Robert L. Clark and Eva Stinedurf Clark. A graduate of Sharon High School, she retired in 1972 from the former Seneca Bank in Sharon, now National City Bank. Mrs. Douglass was a member of Pine Shores Presbyterian Church in Sarasota and formerly belonged to First Presbyterian Church in Sharon. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 242 in Sharon. Her husband, Glenn C. Douglass, whom she married July 23, 1927, died May 21, 1993. Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Harold E. (Diane) Hay, Cortland; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Douglass was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ethel Riley, Martha Brown and Frances Williams; and a brother, Robert L. Clark. DOUGLASS Alice R. Nelson Center Presbyterian member retired as teacher in Mercer The following obituary is being reprinted from Thursday to correct errors made by The Herald. Alice R. Nelson, 1996 Butler Pike, Village of London, Springfield Township, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, in Orchard Manor, Pine Township, after an extended illness. She was 88. She had lived for three years in the nursing home. Miss Nelson was born Nov. 5, 1913, in London to John F. and Sarah P. Richardson Nelson. She graduated from what is now Slippery Rock University. Her teaching career began at the former White Oak School, Springfield Township, and ended with Mercer Area School District over a total of 45 years. Miss Nelson was a lifetime member of Center Presbyterian Church, Pine Township, where she was a Sunday school teacher, deacon, treasurer of the building fund, Meals-on-Wheels driver and church quilter. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Grace E. Weber, Grove City; and Frances Wertman, Wildwood, N.J. Surviving are: a cousin and nieces and nephews.
