Elda Bianci

Homemaker most enjoyed attending church services

Funeral will be held Monday (1-14-02) for Elda Bianci, 6021 Wise Road, Hermitage, formerly of McClure Avenue, Sharon, who passed away at 2 a.m. Friday (1-11-02) in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, after an extended illness. She was 89.

She was born Dec. 5, 1912, in Rosciolo, Italy, to Carlo and Sabina Marini.

A homemaker, she married Samuel Bianci June 26, 1942. He passed away March 16, 1962.

Attending church was what Mrs. Bianci enjoyed most. A former member of Farrell Christian Assembly Church, she most recently attended Lakeside Evangelical Congregational Church, Pymatuning Township.

Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mary J.) Titus, Hermitage; two sisters, Josephine Tibeiri and Antoinette Marini, both of Rome; three grandchildren, Todd Titus, Sharon; Michael Titus, Pittsburgh; and Christina Taylor, Burlington, Iowa; and a great-grandson, Nathaniel Titus, Sharpsville.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vincent, Victorio Marini and the Rev. Gofredo Marini.

John F. Fedorko

GATX retiree, WWII veteran was Sacred Heart member

Funeral Mass will be held Monday (1-14-02) for John F. Fedorko, Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage, formerly of Euclid Avenue, Sharon. He died at 9:35 p.m. Thursday (1-10-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 79.

He was born June 6, 1922, in the Patagonia neighborhood of Hermitage to John Paul and Mary Mehalko Fedorko.

A 1940 alumnus of Sharon High School and World War II Army veteran, Mr. Fedorko retired in 1977 as a chipper and grinder from General American Transportation Corp.'s former plant in Masury. He worked there more than 35 years.

Mr. Fedorko was a former member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon.

Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Leo (Patricia "Patty") Nelitz, West Middlesex; a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Ann) Cheplick, Hermitage; a brother, William J. Fedorko, and his wife, Amelia, Hermitage; a grandson, Jason Nelitz; a niece, Cindy Hacker, Sharon; two nephews, William Fedorko, Hermitage; and John Fedorko, Pittsburgh; and a great-niece, Elena Hacker, Sharon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, infant John Fedorko and Al M. Fedorko; and a sister, Helen Zandarski.

Margaret Louise Young Mansell

Rotary Citizen of the Year was active in NW church

Margaret Louise Young Mansell, 507 Waugh Ave., New Wilmington, died at 12:30 p.m. Friday (1-11-02) in her residence. She was 91.

She was born Sept. 8, 1910, in New Castle to Charles Herman and Una May Brown Young.

A 1925 alumnus of New Castle High School, Mrs. Mansell graduated in 1929 from Westminster College, New Wilmington.

A homemaker, she married Thomas V. Mansell, July 27, 1934. He died March 1, 1997.

Mrs. Mansell was an active member and elder of New Wilmington Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the church Women's Association and its Cora McElwee Sunday school class. She also was a former Sunday school teacher.

Mrs. Mansell was a former president of the Wives of the Lawrence County Bar Auxiliary and was a former Rotary Club Citizen of the Year.

Surviving are: two daughters, Mary Louise Scott Morton, and her husband, Michael, Lexington, Mass.; and Margaret Elizabeth "Betsy" Morton, and her husband Terry, Annapolis, Md.; two sons, Thomas S. Mansell, and his wife Patricia, New Castle; and Charles Y. Mansell, and his wife Pam, New Wilmington; a sister, Nell Herchenroether, Ben Avon, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Young and Jean Uber.

Memorial contributions may be made to New Wilmington Presbyterian Church, 220 S. Market St., New Wilmington 16142.

Raymond J. Sauline Sr.

Retired Conrail engineer belonged to St. Patrick's

Raymond J. Sauline Sr. of Hubbard died Thursday (1-10-02) in John XXIII Home, Hermitage. He was 78.

He was born Feb. 3, 1923, in Hubbard to Joseph J. and Margaret Pannunzio Sauline.

Before retirement in 1981, he was an engineer for Conrail for 40 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

A lifelong Hubbard resident, Mr. Sauline was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Hubbard.

A World War II Army veteran, Mr. Sauline was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3767, Hubbard.

Mr. Sauline enjoyed gardening.

His wife, Yolanda Petuch Sauline, whom he married Oct. 31, 1947, died Sept. 16, 2000.

Surviving are: two sons, Joseph J. Sauline, Westerville, Ohio; and Raymond J. Sauline Jr., Hubbard; two stepsons, Emerick Zuccaro, Twinsburg, Ohio; and Ronald Zuccaro, Sharpsville; a brother, John Sauline, Newago, Mich.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, James P. Sauline.
