The following obituary is being reprinted from Jan. 6, 2002, to correct errors in information given to The Herald and an incorrect place of birth printed by The Herald. Retired WE manager was past officer of YMCA Frederick D. Fielder, 1324 Yahres Road, Sharon, died at 3:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 96. He was born Aug. 4, 1905, in Worcester, Mass., to Frank and Mary Dawson Fielder. Mr. Fielder was a graduate of North High School, Worcester; and of the Worcester Poly-Tech Institute, where he earned a bachelor's of science degree and master's degree in electrical engineering. He began his career with the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. in 1928, and retired in 1970 as the assistant production manager of the Sharon works. Mr. Fielder was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Sharon, where he was the past treasurer for the Retired Men's Association. He was a member of Sharon Country Club; the American Institute of Electrical Engineers; Westinghouse Retirees Association; and was past treasurer of Shenango Valley YMCA in Hermitage. His wife, Evelyn Kendall Fielder, whom he married Aug. 28, 1930, preceded him in death on Sept. 26, 1998. Surviving are: two daughters, Helen Fielder Williams, Auburn, Pa.; and Amy Fielder Armstrong, Clifton, Va.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, Mr. Fielder was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Walter Fielder; and a sister, Ethel Frohock. FIELDER Debra J. Anderson Debra J. Anderson, Ashby's West Care Home, 105 Fifth Ave., Sharon, died at 6:50 p.m. Friday (1-11-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 45.Obituary information remains incomplete.
ANDERSON Edith Rae Bale Retired nurse's aide belonged to Seventh-day Adventists Edith Rae Bale, 584 Tyger Road, Rossiter, Pa., formerly of Hermitage, died at 11:03 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, in her home of natural causes. She was 87. Miss Bale was born May 21, 1914, in Sharon to John and Elizabeth Johnson Bale. She retired after 26 years as a nurse's aide from Sharon Regional Health System. Miss Bale was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, Sharpsville. Surviving are: a niece, Mrs. William (Barbara) Fowler, Sharpsville; two nephews, James Bale, Countryside Convalescent Home, East Lackawannock Township; and his wife Betty, Sharon; and Dennis Bale, Hermitage; several great-nieces and -nephews; one great-great-niece; and one great-great-nephew. Miss Bale was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James E. Bale; a sister-in-law, Frances Bale; and one great-nephew, Robert James Fowler.

DeMartinis Obituary was published 1-16-02 Among survivors are: three sisters-in-law, Lucille Kauffman, Johanna Vernille and Anne Baldarelli and her husband Levio Sr., all Hermitage; a brother-in-law, Benjamin DeMartinis and his wife Shirley, Canton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. DeMARTINIS Hazel M. Jaggers Hospital retiree was 50-year Cedar Avenue COG member HAMMOND, Ind. -- The life of a loving wife, mother and friend, Hazel M. Jaggers of Calumet City, Ill., formerly of Farrell, came to an end on this earth at 4:50 p.m. Jan. 9, 2002, in St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond. She was 82. Mrs. Jaggers was born April 10, 1919, in Masury to Harry and Mollie Eckerd Capitol. She attended schools in Farrell Area School District and later retired from what is now Sharon Regional Health System. Sister Jaggers was an active Christian and member for 50 years of Cedar Avenue Church of God in Sharon. Her husband, Clarence Jaggers, died in June 1982. Hazel leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Dennis Jaggers, Farrell; and Donald Jaggers, Lebanon, Pa.; two daughters, Mollie Jaggers and Sydnee Jaggers-Johnson, both Chicago; seven grandchildren, Tony Askerneese, Phoenix; Brandon and Clarence Jaggers, both Kansas City, Mo.; Nikki Jaggers, Farrell; Dennis Jaggers Jr., Lebanon; and Shonta Stewart and Kiyeta Johnson, both Chicago; 20 great-grandchildren; a niece, Esther Truman-Simmons, Chicago; and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, Mrs. Jaggers was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Clarence Jaggers Jr. and Frederick Jaggers; four sisters, Catherine, Louise, Viola and Clara; and two brothers, Eugene and William Capitol. A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. Jan. 11, 2002, in Harvey, Ill., with Elder Reggie Wiggans of St. Mark's Church, Harvey, officiating.
