Scott E. Hoag Lititz man was born in Grove City LANCASTER, Pa. -- Scott E. Hoag, 14 W. Lincoln Ave., Lititz, Pa., passed away at 12:30 a.m.Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, in Community Hospital of Lancaster of natural causes following a brief illness. He was 43. Mr. Hoag was born Oct. 21, 1958, in Grove City to Edward Eugene Hoag and Mona Lee Miles Hoag. He graduated in 1977 from Warwick High School in Lititz. Mr. Hoag was a member of American Legion Post 56 in Lititz and was a model car collector. Surviving are: his mother, at home; and two sisters, Rojean L. Hoag Reidenbaugh and Sharon Lee Hoag, both Lititz. Mr. Hoag was preceded in death by his father. HOAG James F. Jones GATX retiree of Masury was in Army Corps of Engineers James F. Jones of 7964 Lincoln St. NE in Masury died at 8:35 a.m. Sunday (1-27-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 79. Mr. Jones was born Jan. 10, 1923, in Spray, N.C., a son of Cad Walter Jones and Nell Austin Jones. He served our country in the United States Army Corps of Engineers as a corporal during World War II. Following his tour of duty, Jim worked as a shop blaster for General American Transportation Corp.'s former Masury plant, retiring in 1983 after 35 years of service. His memberships included Church of the Sacred Heart in Sharon; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8860 in Masury; and GATX Retirees. Mr. Jones formerly belonged to Knights of Columbus Council 3984 in Masury; and Brookfield Band Boosters. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. His wife, Olga H. Hromyak Jones, whom he married May 16, 1946, died Jan. 26, 1993. Survivors include: one son, James "Gary" Jones and his wife Jean, Ashland, Ohio; three daughters, Marilyn A. Perry and her husband James A., Fort Worth, Texas; Pamela A. Jones, Masury; and Patricia A. Bloomer-Gee and her husband Brian, Brookfield; four grandchildren, Ryan Bloomer, Kayla Bloomer, Matt Jones and Dan Jones; and his special sister-in-law, Irene Walsh, Hermitage. Besides his wife, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Melvin, Thomas and Bob R. Jones; and two sisters, Mary Frances Parks and Nancy Dalton. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Church of the Sacred Heart or to American Heart Association.
JONES Mary A. Kopta Mary A. Kopta, 329 Arlington Drive, Pymatuning Township, died at 3:45 p.m. Sunday (1-27-02) in the home of her daughter, 506 Reynolds Drive, Pymatuning Township. She was 88. Obituary information was incomplete.

BIGGINS Yvonne J. Edwards Yvonne J. Edwards, 5070 Cassidy Road, Hermitage, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday (1-27-02) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, from injuries sustained in an automobile crash. She was 71. Obituary information was incomplete.
