Homemaker was member of Corner House Christian

Mrs. Noble June Good, 89, of Hubbard, died at 5:50 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, in Orange Village Nursing Home, Masury.

She was born July 9, 1912, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of John P. and Inez Blanche Spade Hurd and lived in Hubbard since 1946.

Mrs. Good, also known as Billie, was a homemaker and member of Corner House Christian Church, Hubbard.

Her husband, Herbert T. Good, whom she married May 19, 1952, died Aug. 21, 1992.

She leaves a son, Robert F. Gray of Mount Shasta, Calif.; four stepsons, Albert N. Good of Masury; Eugene C. and Herbert P. Good, both of Hubbard; and Jack Good of Norristown, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Judy Romano of Bridgeport, Pa.; 33 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Two stepdaughters, Doris J. Alexander and Margret J. Bender; and two sisters, Edna McFarland and Elvena Passmore are deceased.

Charles "Chub" Ruffo

Former township supervisor worked at Westinghouse

Charles "Chub" Ruffo, 816 Wheatland Road, West Middlesex, Shenango Township, died at 10 p.m. Thursday (2-07-02) in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, following complications from surgery. He was 65.

He was born May 10, 1936 in West Middlesex to Joseph and Ann Rotunno Ruffo.

A 1954 graduate of West Middlesex High School, Mr. Ruffo was employed for 23 years by the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. in the maintenance department. He also was a Shenango Township supervisor and road supervisor for 18 years.

He attended West Middlesex United Methodist Church.

Mr. Ruffo was a member of the West Middlesex Gridiron Club, Fur Fin Feather Sportsmen Club, Shenango Township; and West Middlesex Alumni Association.

He was co-captain of the 1954 Class C State Champion Basketball team, and coached Little League baseball for 12 years. He was active in local sports. He was devoted to his family and he loved spending time at the sports activities of his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are: his wife, Sallie A. Hoffman Ruffo, at home, whom he married Dec. 17, 1956; his mother, Ann, and step-father, Clifford Campbell, New Castle; four sons, Charles D. Ruffo and his wife, Sylvia, Irwin, Pa.; Jeffery L. Ruffo and his wife, Teena, Lake City, Fla.; Brian K. Ruffo and his wife, Darlene, and Michael B. Ruffo and his wife, Linda; all of West Middlesex; one sister, Elizabeth Loosemoore and her husband Allan, Benezette, Pa.; two brothers, Joseph Ruffo and his wife, Denise, Hermitage; Albert Ruffo and his wife, Sandra, West Middlesex; and 11 grandchildren, Rebecca, Kristi, Josh, Bradley, Zach, Giani, Anthony, Chachi, Brad, Ashley, and Brittany Ruffo; and a great-granddaughter, Chelsea Ruffo.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Marion M. 'Smokey' Russo

Westinghouse retiree was Sacred Heart member

Marion M. "Smokey" Russo, a resident of Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage, formerly of Wilson Street, Sharon, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Friday (2-8-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 89.

He was born Sept. 16, 1912 in Oil City, Pa. to Joe Russo and Mary Leonard Russo Muscarella.

Mr. Russo attended Farrell schools.

Before retiring on Dec. 31, 1974, he was employed by the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. as a hook-on for cranes.

A member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon, Mr. Russo was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 55, Farrell; the Italian Home, Farrell; Sons of Italy, Sharon; and the Patagonia Volunteer Fire Department. He was also an ardent Cleveland Browns fan.

Surviving are: his wife, Rose Bonesara Russo, a resident of John XXIII Home, Hermitage, whom he married May 11, 1940 in Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon; one daughter, Mrs. Charles M. (Rosemary) Ryhal, Transfer; one son, Mike Russo and his wife, Phyllis, Hermitage; three stepsisters, Rose Gregorich, Las Vegas; Margaret Peters, St. Clair Shores, Mich.; and Mamie Vadala, Hermitage; two stepbrothers, Steve Muscarella, Pulaski; Dave Muscarella, Greenville; three grandchildren, Charles M. Ryhal III and his wife, Melanie, of Ohio; Edward Ryhal and his wife, Debra, Stoneboro; and Mrs. Aaron (Carla Marie) Hughes, Greenville; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla Marie Hughes, Greenville, Zachary Edward Ryhal, Stoneboro; and Anna Renee Ryhal and Kristin Hope Ryhal, both of Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Joseph Muscarella, who raised him from the age of two and two stepbrothers, Thomas and Joseph Muscarella.

Violet E. Guynn

Former Sharon resident was First UM Church member

Violet E. Guynn, 1815 Pine Road, Espyville, Pa., formerly a resident of Alderman Avenue, Sharon, for 60 years, passed away of natural causes at 11:45 p.m. Thursday (2-07-02) in her residence. She was 93.

She was born Dec. 8, 1908 in McKeesport, Pa. to William O. and Bertha Bergquist Myers.

Mrs. Guynn attended McKeesport schools for 11 years.

A homemaker, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sharon, and also attended Sharon Alliance Church.

Her husband, Dwight T. Guynn, whom she married on Jan. 12, 1926, preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1988.

Surviving are: one son, Wayne D. Guynn, Ignace, Mich.; two sisters, Edna Wagner and her husband Joseph, Brookfield; Gertrude Welfer, Pittsburgh; one brother, the Rev. Wesley V. Myers, Greensburg, Pa.; two grandchildren, Martin Wilcox and Gale Halliday; and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Janna Halliday.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Dwight "Duffy" Guynn, Jr., and a daughter, Carole A. Dale Wilcox.

Richard Allen Campbell 1974 Sharon graduate enjoyed working on cars

Richard Allen Campbell, 325 Columbia Street, Sharon, died suddenly at 9:54 a.m. Friday in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 46.

He was born Feb. 4, 1956 in Uniontown, Pa. to Omar and Onalee Hughes Campbell.

Mr. Campbell was a 1974 graduate of Sharon High School where he had been on the wrestling team. His worked as a laborer.

He was a Protestant.

He enjoyed working on cars and playing cards.

Surviving are: his father, of Sharon; a sister, Joyce Letterbury and her husband Gary, Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Daniel and Russell Campbell, both of Sharon; and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
