Patsy J. Jones, 31 Maranatha Drive, Youngstown, formerly of Masury, died at 5:45 p.m. Friday (2-8-02) in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Youngstown. She was 49.

Pamela J. Stoup
Sharon High, Penn State grad was state employee
Pamela J. Stoup, 4638 Whippoorwill Drive, Hermitage, died at 10:27 a.m. Saturday (2-09-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, following an extended illness. She was 44.
She was born Oct. 16, 1957 in Sharon to William C. Reese and E. Arlene Bain.
A graduate of Sharon High School and Pennsylvania State University, State College, Mrs. Stoup was employed by the Bureau of Workman's Compensation, State of Ohio, as a fraud analyst for seven years.
She was a member of East Side Church Baptist-Disciples of Christ, Sharon.
Mrs. Stoup was a member of the Penn State Alumni Club and she played the organ at East Side Church. She loved music and taught piano for 1½ years at The School of Paralegal Training in Philadelphia.
Surviving are: her husband at home, Daniel Stoup, whom she married Sept. 9, 1989; her father, of Sharon; and brother, William C. Reese, Jr., of East Hampton, Conn.
She was preceded in death by her mother.

Ashley Lynne Anderson
Slippery Rock High junior was active in school, church
Ashley Lynne Anderson, of Branchton Road, Slippery Rock Township, died at 4:40 p.m. Friday (2-08-02) in UPMC Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh following a brief illness. She was 17.
She was born Oct. 2, 1984 in Pine Township to James Albert Anderson, Jr. and Karen Louise Snyder Anderson.
Ashley was a member of the junior class of Slippery Rock Area High School.
She was a member of Branchton Methodist Church and Youth Group, a varsity basketball cheerleader, a member of the Rock-n-ettes and a Slippery Rock Youth Cheerleader coach. While dancing with Starz Dance Center of Branchton, she received numerous medals and trophies at regional, state and national dance competitions. She also taught beginning dance classes in jazz and gymnastics.
Surviving are: her parents at home; one sister, Jamie Anderson, at home; her paternal grandparents, James and Shirley McCloud Anderson, Butler; and her maternal grandmother, Mary Weitzel, Grove City.
Memorial contributions may be made to Branchton United Methodist Church, or the Slippery Rock Area High School Memorial Fund, in memory of Ashley Anderson.

Richard Arlen Shaffer, Sr.
Retired mechanic, Army veteran, served in Korea
Richard Arlen Shaffer, Sr., 69, of Third Street, Fredonia, died at 3 p.m. Saturday (2-9-02) at UPMC Horizon, Greenville, after an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 20, 1932 in New Castle to Ferdinand Charles and Emma Syvila Eiler Shaffer.
Mr. Shaffer served in the Army during the Korean conflict.
Before retiring in 1987, he was employed by McCandless Ford, Mercer, as a mechanic.
Mr. Shaffer was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 3374, Hempfield Township; Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 276, Greenville; and American Legion Post 140, Greenville.
Surviving are: his wife at home, Charlotte Kirsch Shaffer, whom he married Sept. 29, 1967; two daughters, Leah Marie King, Mercer; Melissa Ann Shaffer, Fredonia; one stepdaughter, Linda Adams, Greenville; one son, Richard Arlen Shaffer, Jr., Fredonia; four sisters, Catherine L. Bochert, Mercer; Leatrice J. Rice, Gertrude A. Megyesi, Vernetta M. Rice, all Sharpsville; two brothers, William M. Shaffer, Mercer; Raymond J. Shaffer, Sharpsville; and six grandchildren, Tiffiny Lynn McCandless, Tonya Marie King, Joseph Diefenderfer, Richard Arlen Shaffer III, Courtney Lynn Shaffer Say, and Miranda Marie Shaffer.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Parson; and two brothers, Fredrick C. and Robert L. Shaffer.

Donna Elizabeth Volk Johnson, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., West Salem Township, died Saturday (2-09-02) following an extended illness in St. Paul Homes, West Salem Township. She was 65.
She was born May 20, 1936 in North Versailles, Pa. to Carl and Bessie Yeager Volk.
A homemaker, Mrs. Johnson was a member of Mercer United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Donald K. Johnson, whom she married May 28, 1955, preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1990.
Surviving are: four daughters, Debora L. Roddy and her husband Michael; Dorothy A. Bobanick and her husband Russell; Dawn Louise McCann and her husband Jeffrey; all of Mercer; and Delores J. Tunstall and her husband Edward, Magnolia, Del.; two brothers, Robert Volk, Chesterton, Ind.; Carl Volk, Port Charlotte, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Boyd.

Richard Allen Campbell 1974 Sharon graduate enjoyed working on cars
Richard Allen Campbell, 325 Columbia Street, Sharon, died suddenly at 9:54 a.m. Friday in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 46.
He was born Feb. 4, 1956 in Uniontown, Pa. to Omar and Onalee Hughes Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was a 1974 graduate of Sharon High School where he had been on the wrestling team. He worked as a laborer.
He was a Protestant.
He enjoyed working on cars and playing cards.
Surviving are: his father, of Sharon; a sister, Joyce Letterbury and her husband Gary, Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Daniel and Russell Campbell, both of Sharon; and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Fannie A. Dallacroce
Retired Westinghouse clerk was Sacred Heart member
Fannie A. Dallacroce, 8085 Warren-Sharon Road, Masury, died at 8:15 p.m. Friday (2-08-02) in Nugent's Convalescent Center, Hermitage. She was 77.
She was born in the Mercer County village of No. 5 Mine on Oct. 20, 1924 to Frank and Adelia Defrancisco DeCarlo.
A 1943 alumna of Grove City High School, Mrs. Dallacroce worked as a payroll clerk for the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., retiring in 1983 following 40 years of service.
She was a member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon, where she was a former catechism teacher.
Surviving are: her husband at home, Daniel Dallacroce, whom she married Nov. 22, 1958; two sisters, Mary DeCarlo, Hermitage; and Emma Jackel, Mercer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Larry DeCarlo, and one sister, Jennie Kinney.
