Roy L. Mullen Roy L. Mullen, formerly of Yankee Run Road, Masury, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday (2-9-02) in Orange Village Care Center, Masury. He was 90. Obituary information was incomplete.
MULLEN Pamela J. Stoup Mrs. Stoup was born Oct. 16, 1957, in Sharon to William C. Reese and E. Arlene Bain Reese. She studied for 1½ years at the School of Paralegal Training in Philadelphia. She also taught piano. Incorrect information was given to The Herald.
STOUP Robert L. 'Red' David Robert L. "Red" David, 11 Buckwalter Road, Pulaski, died at 8 p.m. Sunday (2-10-02) in University of Pittsburgh Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 77. Obituary information was incomplete.
DAVID Virginia 'Ginny' K. Eberhart Clark woman was retired postmaster Virginia "Ginny" K. Eberhart of 2810 Winner Road, Clark, died at 12:03 p.m. Sunday (2-10-02) in Northside Medical Center, Youngs-town. She was 89. Mrs. Eberhart was born Dec. 21, 1912, in Youngstown, a daughter of Andrew and Kathryn Dahman Hennessy. She graduated in 1929 from Austintown (Ohio) Fitch High School. Mrs. Eberhart was the postmaster for the Clark Post Office for 26 years before retiring in 1983. She had attended Faith Presbyterian Church in Hermitage. Her memberships included the National Association of Federal Retired Employees; Sur Optimist Club -- Shenango Chapter; Hickory Mother's Club; Clark Borough Women's Auxiliary; Buhl Club Bridge Group; Crippled Children's Bridge Group of Shenango Valley; and what was Volunteers at Sharon General Hospital. Her husband, Wayne C. Eberhart, whom she married Sept. 11, 1938, died Sept. 18, 1998. Survivors include: one son, Clark Wayne Eberhart and his wife Carol, Clark; two daughters, Virginia Lynn Jones and her husband George, Plainfield, Ill.; and Dorothy Kathryn Blomstrom and her husband James, Liberty Township, Trumbull County; one sister, Gail Thorsby and her husband Ted, Liberty Township; two sisters-in-law, Donnabelle Hennessy, Bloomington, Ill.; and Louise Eberhart, Springville, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Besides her husband, Mrs. Eberhart was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald Hennessy; and one sister, Marjorie Testa. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
EBERHART Mary E. Gurgovits CLINTON, Md. -- Mary E. Gurgovits, 4102 24th Ave., Temple Hills, Md., formerly of Sharpsville, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday (2-9-02) in Bradford Oaks Nursing Home. She was 87. Obituary information was incomplete.
GURGOVITS Joseph E. Toscano GATX retiree was veteran of WWII, Korean War A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday for Joseph E. Toscano of 1535 Catalina Place in Hermitage. He passed away at 10 a.m. Saturday (2-9-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, following a brief illness. He was 81. Mr. Toscano was born Jan. 19, 1921, in Sharpsville, a son of Peter and Domenica Morabito Toscano. Mr. Toscano was an alumnus of Sharpsville High School Class of 1940 and later attended Texas Tech. While serving in the U.S. Army Air Force, he participated in both World War II and the Korean conflict, attaining the rank of sergeant. After World War II, he was awarded the Victory Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. He was employed for 36 years by General American Transportation Corp.'s former Masury plant, where he worked as a welder, retiring in 1982. At one time, Mr. Toscano belonged to Knights of Columbus Council 684 in Sharon. He was a member of GATX Retirees Association. Some of his hobbies included model airplanes and trains. He enjoyed dancing and loved the outdoors, especially gardening, fishing and traveling. His wife, the former Margaret Hromyak, whom he married Sept. 23, 1950, survives him at home. He also leaves: one daughter, Elaine S. Toscano, Chicago; and one son, Gary J. Toscano and his wife June, Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are: five sisters, Anne Stacconi and her husband Anthony, Buffalo, N.Y.; Palma Rossi, Altamonte Springs, Fla.; Josephine Benetto and Katherine Toscano, both Sharpsville; and Nancy Liptak, Eustis, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Jack S. Toscano and Elizabeth C. Toscano. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 59 N. Crescent Drive, Hermitage 16148; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1905.
