Marguerite 'Babe' M. Monroe Walton Florida woman with Ohio ties survived by local relatives Marguerite 'Babe' M. Monroe Walton, of Fort Myers, Fla. and Cleveland, Ohio, died Friday afternoon (2-22-02) in Fort Myers, Fla. She was 73. She was born April 6, 1928. Mrs. Walton was an alumna of Beaumont School and Ursuline College. Surviving are: her beloved husband, at home, Joseph M.; four daughters, Mary W. McKenna and her husband John, of Cleveland; Suzanne W. Prunka and her husband William, Rockville, Md.; and Megan Walton Kearney and Nancy W. Hyland and her husband, James, all of Cleveland; four sons, Joseph P. Walton and his wife Kathleen, Greenville; Gerald R. Walton and his wife Elizabeth, Cleveland; D. Michael Walton and his wife Barbara, Greenville; and Robert G. Walton and his wife Anne, Cleveland; two brothers, John J. Monroe and his wife Betty Anne; Robert F. Monroe and his wife Mary; and one sister, Nancy M. Hill and her husband Ward J.; 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. WALTON Reatha K. Wilson Reatha K. Wilson, 110 Fredonia Rd, Hempfield Township, formerly of Cochran Road, Delaware Township, and The Ridgewood, 339 E. Jamestown Road, Greenville, died in White Cliff Nursing Home Saturday (2-23-02) She was 91. Obituary information was incomplete.
WILSON William S. Brittain, Jr. Sharon native, Army vet was respiratory therapist DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- William S. Brittain, Jr., of Daytona Beach, died Tuesday (2-19-02) in University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was 54. He was born Jan. 23, 1948 in Sharon to William S., Sr. and Ann Marie Herner Brittain. Mr. Brittain attended Hawaii State and graduated from Daytona Beach Community College. He served two tours in the Army in Pieiku, Vietnam, as a medic and taekwondo instructor. He was employed by Seeley Medical Co., Ormond Beach, Fla., as a respiratory therapist. Surviving are: his wife, Sharon Ann, and his children, Samantha M. and Nathaniel T., all of Daytona Beach; another daughter, Tracy Hosfelt and her husband Rick and his grandsons, Rick and Cody Hosfelt, West Middlesex; his mother, Daytona Beach; his father- and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Joyce Morse, Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Kathleen Ann O'Day, Girard, Ohio; and Linda Carney, Canfield, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Linda K. Morse, Duluth, Ga. and Karen L. Price, Hoschton, Ga.; one brother, James D. Brittain, Daytona Beach, Fla.; three brothers-in-law, Tom O'Day, Michael Carney, and John D. Price, all of Hoschton, Ga.; and three nephews, John Carney, Tampa, Fla.; James O'Day, Warren, Ohio; and Bill Brittain, Sr., Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his father, William Sr., and a brother, John R. Brittain.
BRITTAIN Mary E. Sremcich Farrell native was 50-year member of St. Anthony's Mary E. Sremcich, 768 N. Neshannock Rd., Hermitage, formerly of Farrell, passed away peacefully at 8:15 a.m. Saturday (2-23-02) in John XXIII Home, Hermitage. She was 98. She was born Sept. 13, 1903 in Farrell to John and Mary Mance Frankovitch. Mrs. Sremcich attended Farrell schools. Earlier in her life, she was employed at the former Shontz and Myers Clothing Store, Sharon, and at Metz Bakery, Farrell. A homemaker, she was a 50-year member of St. Anthony's Church, Sharon. Mrs. Sremcich was also a former member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Farrell, and its Serbian Sisters Circle. Devoted to her family, Mrs. Sremcich was married to Stephen R. Sremcich on Aug. 15, 1921. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1985. Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Violet Grober, and her husband Edward P., Hermitage; one son, Paul Sremcich and his wife Theresa, Hermitage; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; a daughter, Dorothy Sremcich; a sister, Helen Price; and four brothers, John, Albert, Frank, and Carl Frankovitch.
