Arthur C. Cerra Westinghouse retiree was ex-councilman in Sharpsville Arthur C. Cerra, 1660 Kimberly Lane, Hermitage, died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, in his residence after an extended illness. He was 81. Mr. Cerra was born Feb. 10, 1921, in Farrell to Salvatore and Christina Chiefalo Cerra. The 1939 alumnus of Farrell High School graduated in 1967 from what is now Youngstown State University. He retired in 1983 after 44 years of service from the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., where he was a senior manufacturing engineer. An Army veteran, Mr. Cerra served during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. As a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Farrell, he belonged to the Holy Name Society; and St. Vincent De Paul Society. Mr. Cerra was also a member of Boy Scouts of America; Shenango Valley Initiative; and was a secretary of the Edward Brucker Blue Heron Sanctuary. He was a former Sharpsville councilman; and a volunteer tax preparer for AARP, a retired person's organization. Mr. Cerra was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman and loved hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling and long walks in the woods. Surviving are: his wife, the former Rosemary Zarella, whom he married July 14, 1945, at home; one son, Christopher S. and his wife Kathleen Cerra, Aberdeen, N.J.; and two grandchildren, Lauren Cerra and Ian Cerra. Mr. Cerra was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marie Chiodo; and a brother, Anthony Cerra. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell 16121; or Buhl Farm Park, F.H. Buhl Trustees, 730 Forker Blvd. Sharon 16146.
CERRA Curtis Wilson Sr. Curtis Wilson Sr., 390 North St., Sharon, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday (2-26-02) in his son's home, Hinesville, Ga. He was 68. Obituary information was incomplete.
WILSON Rozella P. Heilman Retired teacher, basketball coach was Marines reservist Rozella P. Heilman, Sharon, died at 2:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, in Countryside Convalescent Home, East Lackawannock Township. She was 89. Miss Heilman was born Jan. 23, 1913, in Sharon to Dr. Ralph S. Heilman and Laura Burns Kirk Heilman. She was a 1931 graduate of Sharon High School, where she played basketball, and attended Syracuse (N.Y.) University. She earned a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and a master's degree in education guidance from Westminster College in New Wilmington. Miss Heilman also completed an additional 66 hours in education and counseling courses at local colleges to maintain her level of professionalism throughout her career. She taught in Sharon, Brookfield, West Middlesex and Sharpsville school systems and retired after 20 years of service from Sharpsville Area School District. Miss Heilman also coached women's basketball in West Middlesex and Sharpsville schools. She was named in Who's Who of American Women. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Miss Heilman served in the women's reserve during World War II. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Sharon; Pennsylvania State Education Association; National Education Association; Business and Professional Women of the Shenango Valley; Sharon College Club; and American Legion Post 299 in Sharon. Miss Heilman was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Ralph S. Heilman and W. Kirk Heilman. HEILMAN Mary J. Campagna Mary J. Campagna, 68 Stone Ridge Blvd., Hermitage, died at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday (2-26-02) in Clepper Manor, Sharon. She was 77. Obituary information was incomplete.
