Today's obituaries Martha L. Khein Homemaker formerly of Meadville lived in GC Martha L. Khein, 301 S. Broad St., Apartment 207, Grove City, died Saturday afternoon (3-2-02) in United Community Hospital, Pine Township. She was 76. Mrs. Khein was born May 7, 1925, in Meadville to George and Anna Beatty Frey. She attended the former St. Agatha's School in Meadville. A homemaker, Mrs. Khein was a member of St. Agatha's Church in Meadville and attended Church of the Beloved Disciple in Grove City. She helped out in the kitchen at The Towers and participated in cooking class on Wednesdays. Her husband, Paul F. Khein, whom she married April 24, 1948, died May 23, 1978. Surviving are: one daughter, Rebecca and her husband Michael Lang, Mercer; three grandsons, Steven Weyers, Jason Weyers and Peter Dickson; one sister, Georgene Bozick, Elyria, Ohio; two brothers, John Frey, Meadville; and Kenneth Frey, Hubbard; and one brother-in-law, Franklin Walton. Besides her husband, Mrs. Khein was preceded in death by two sons, Martin Khein, Jackson Center; and Kenneth Khein, Meadville; and one sister, Anna Walton.
KHEIN Nathaniel Parks Nathaniel Parks, 111 Florida St., Farrell, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday (3-3-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. He was 81. Obituary information was incomplete.

GREENVILLE -- Helen R. Greenlee Clayton of Peaceful Rest Home, Cochranton, formerly of Sandy Lake, died Saturday evening, March 2, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville. She was 92. Mrs. Clayton was born July 10, 1909, in Sandy Lake to Elmer and Cora F. Vogan Greenlee. She went to the former Sandy Lake High School while working for the Blakely family of Franklin, who owned the Franklin News for many years. She married Charles R. Clayton, who preceded her in death Feb. 27, 1976. Mrs. Clayton was a lifelong homemaker and was employed for 27 years at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. She was a member of Sandy Lake Presbyterian Church and its Women's Missionary Association. Mrs. Clayton also was active in the McQuiston Senior Center in Sandy Lake. Surviving are: two daughters, Barbara Clayton Mertz, wife of Carson Mertz Jr., Sandy Lake; and Phyllis Clayton Snyder Ewing, Stoneboro; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Clayton was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bessie Ebbert; and four brothers, Herman, Clarence, Donavan and Wayne Greenlee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peaceful Rest Home, 3472 County Line Road, Cochranton 16314.
CLAYTON Valeria J. Telega Farrell woman, Westinghouse retiree loved music, polka Valeria J. Telega, 910 Beechwood Ave., Farrell, died Saturday (3-2-02) at home. She was 80. Miss Telega was born Feb. 10, 1922, in Farrell to Thomas and Josephine Korab Telega. A 1941 alumna of Farrell High School, Miss Telega retired in 1981 from the office of the shipping department at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church and the Westinghouse Retirees Association, both Sharon; and she enjoyed music and polka dancing. Surviving are: two brothers, Edward J. Telega, Hermitage; and Bennie Telega, Hubbard; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alex and Joseph Telega; and two sisters, Stella Yankle and Jean Pinti.
Hazel M. Daugherty Harrisville U.M. member was organ teacher, volunteer Hazel M. Daugherty, Grove Manor, Grove City, formerly of Harrisville, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 2002, in United Community Hospital, Pine Township. She was 91. Mrs. Daugherty was born Feb. 7, 1911, in Boyers to Ralph P. and Vinnie M. Rumbaugh Campbell. She was a graduate of Grove City High School Class of 1928. Mrs. Daugherty taught organ lessons in her home for several years and, in the past, played organ in Boyers Methodist Church. She belonged to Harrisville United Methodist Church; and AARP of Sandy Lake, a retired person's organization. She was a former volunteer with Grove City Meals-on-Wheels Program and with the American Red Cross. Mrs. Daugherty was a former member of Harrisville Community Club. Her husband, Merle A. Daugherty, whom she married in January 1928, died June 9, 1993. Surviving are: one daughter, H. Lucille Dyrdek, Clairsville, Ohio; two grandsons; five great-granddaughters; one sister, Mrs. George (Helen) Aiken; and one brother, Clair Campbell, both Clintonville, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Mrs. Daugherty was preceded in death by her parents; and her son-in-law, Joseph Dyrdek. DAUGHERTY Isaac F. Clarke Active Mason was WWII vet, worked at Sharon Steel Isaac F. Clarke, 275 Sterling Ave., Sharon, passed away at 11:24 p.m. Tuesday (2-26-02) in O'Brien Nursing Home, Masury. He was 80. He was born Dec. 21, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Isaac Newton and Olive Gibson Clarke. A graduate of Brooklyn High School, Mr. Clarke attended Youngstown State University and Dana School of Music. Mr. Clarke served in the Army during World War II in the battles of New Guinea and Northern Solomons. He was employed by the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant for many years. Mr. Clarke was a member of First Baptist Church, Farrell. He was a former lecturer of the 8th Masonic District, New Castle through Erie; and elevated to a 33rd Degree Mason in May 2001. He was also the past Worshipful Master and former Secretary for the Calumet Lodge 25, Free and Accepted Masons, Farrell; the current secretary of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge, Twin City 187, Farrell; past worthy patron of Miriam Chapter 47 Order of the Eastern Star, Farrell; a member of the Holy Royal Arch Beaver Valley Chapter 10, New Castle; former commander of Whitney M. Young Consistory 88, Erie; and the Victory Past Exalted Rulers Council 199 of Northwestern Pennsylvania. Mr. Clarke enjoyed playing checkers and pool. Surviving are: his wife, the former Vivian L. Henry, whom he married 60 years ago on Feb. 26, 1942, at home; one son, Ronald Ellis Fitzgerald Clarke and his wife Juanita L., Pasadena, Md.; four grandchildren, Ronanda Q. Palmer, Farrell; Valencia Pierce, Pittsburgh; Ronald Jason Clarke, Pasadena; and Jyllian L. Clarke Growney, Silver Springs, Md.; three great-grandchildren, Ramon A. Pierce, Pittsburgh; Brittney Nashae Clarke, Hawaii; and Isaac JaRon Clarke, Pasadena; one sister, Ruby Mabel Clarke, Southfield, Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Ruth H. Riddick, Manhattan, N.Y.; and Hazel H. Bayne, Queens, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and very close and special friends, Alphonso and Almeda James, Farrell. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard Allan Clarke; and two brothers, Prince William and George Rupert Clarke.
Rudolph 'Rudy' Wright Carpenter formerly of Farrell was grid standout, avid golfer Rudolph "Rudy" Wright, of 682 Arbor Way, Aurora, Ohio, formerly of 640 Hamilton Ave., Farrell, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Thursday (2-28-02) at home. He was 50. Mr. Wright was born June 26, 1951, in Sharon to Randolph Wright Jr. and Laura Smith Wright. A retired self-employed carpenter, Wright was a graduate of Farrell High School and a member of Greater Morris Chapel A.M.E. Church in Farrell. He was also an affiliate member of Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church in Cincinnati. Mr. Wright was a varsity football standout at Farrell High School; and belonged to the Football Travelers Club of Farrell. He was a former member of the Twin City Elks Lodge 187 in Farrell and was an avid golfer. Surviving are his fiancee, Zaneta Vanderveer, Farrell; a daughter, Marissa Veneable, Washington, Pa.; two sons, Lamont Hailstock, Farrell; and Brandon Smith, Hermitage; five sisters, Dr. Daisy Alford-Smith and her husband Kenneth Smith, Pepper Pike, Ohio; Gloria Harris and her husband, the Rev. James H. Harris, Cincinnati; Patricia Holden and her husband, Marshall Holden, Hermitage; and twins, the Rev. Jeanette Hooks; and Janice Stewart and her husband, Robert Stewart, all Farrell; four brothers, his twin Randolph Wright III, Farrell; Derrick Wright, Farrell; Ramon Wright, Cincinnati; and Lawrence Gillespie, Farrell; four grandchildren, Lamont Jr., Andre, Malcom and Brandon Jr.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
WRIGHT Tyler James Frazier-Moose Tyler James Frazier-Moose, 1029 Bend Road, Lackawannock Township, died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2002, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 5 weeks old. Tyler was born Jan. 18, 2002, in Sharon to Todd Moose and Margaret Frazier Moose. Surviving are: his parents and a brother, Brandon Frazier, all at home; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Moose of Mercer; and his maternal grandparents, John and Joanne Caution Frazier of West Middlesex. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dale Moose; and his maternal great-grandparents, Charles and Margaret Caution.
