Ronald Coleman Mogor West Middlesex man, born in Sharon, loved music Ronald Coleman Mogor of West Middlesex died at 9:05 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2002, at The Overlook nursing home of New Wilmington. He was 57. Mr. Mogor was born May 30, 1944, in Sharon to Coleman and Helen Parcetic Mogor. A lover of music, he enjoyed playing his keyboard. Mr. Mogor also enjoyed playing video games, especially golf. He is survived by his daughter, April Lynn Mogor; and her mother, Barbara Barker Mogor, both Hermitage; his mother, with whom he lived; two brothers, a twin, Raymond John Mogor and his wife, Elizabeth "Betty"; and Jerald "Jerry" Michael Mogor, with whom he lived, all West Middlesex; a sister, Christine Anastasia Mogor of New Wilmington; and five special aunts, Ema Pullam, Mrs. Clyde (Julie) Pullam, Ida "Ethel" Jansco, Mrs. Martin (Margie) Jansco and Elizabeth Mogor; and one uncle, John "Butch" Mogor, all West Middlesex; and several nephews and cousins. Mr. Mogor was preceded in death by his father; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Elva D. Hackett Member of Farrell Moose group lived in Masury Elva D. Hackett of 1036 Yankee Run Road, Masury, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday (3-18-02) in O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home, Masury. She was 86. Mrs. Hackett was born Jan. 4, 1916, in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Leah Simonton Richards. She was a homemaker and had attended Youngstown city schools. Mrs. Hackett also attended Brookfield United Methodist Church and was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge 55 in Farrell. Her husband, Wilbert T. Hackett Sr., whom she married Dec. 31, 1938, died March 16, 1993. Survivors include: one son, Richard Hackett, Masury; one daughter, Grayce Shaffer, Hermitage; 10 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Hackett was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Wilbert Hackett Jr.; one daughter, Sandra Setterberg; four grandchildren; and one sister, Grace Bell.
HACKETT Jerome A. 'Mr. Z' Zimmer Former Sharon man owned, operated Zimmer Jewelers WAKE FOREST, N.C. -- Jerome A. "Mr. Z" Zimmer, 1022-H S. Main St., Wake Forest 27587, formerly of Sharon, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in his home. He was 66. Born in Sharon to the late A.M. and Mary Adams Zimmer on July 22, 1935, Jerry lived and worked a majority of his life in Sharon until 1992, when he moved to Wake Forest to be close to his family. A Catholic, he was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, Wake Forest. Jerry attended St. Joseph's School and graduated from Sharon High School in 1953. He attended Gannon University in Erie before joining his father, A.M. Zimmer, in the family jewelry business, A.M. Zimmer Jewelers in Sharon. He took over the business when his father retired, running the business until the store closed in 1990. He remained in the jewelry business until retiring in 1992 He was employed by Food Lion in Raleigh, N.C., at the time of his death. Jerry was a lifelong member of Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 103 in Sharon; and the local lodge in Raleigh. He was also a third degree knight in Knights of Columbus, both Sharon and Raleigh, where he held numerous administrative and social positions. He also was a social member of the American Legion Post 299 in Sharon. He married the former Dorothy A. Solyan on June 8, 1957. An avid sports fan, Jerry was a lifelong golfer, participating in many golf leagues in Sharon and Wake Forest. He followed the Boston Celtics, Notre Dame and the University of South Carolina, and often pulled for both the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jerry was a fixture throughout the Sharon area and was known as "Mr. Z," both in Sharon and to his legion of friends in the North Raleigh and Wake Forest area. Jerry never met a stranger and always had something nice to say. His smile, dry wit, easy-going personality and good nature touched many, and he will be sorely and deeply missed by many friends in Sharon and the greater Wake Forest area. Jerry Zimmer is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Dorothy, of the residence; his son, Paul Zimmer and his wife Lisa, Raleigh; a son, Mark Zimmer, Columbia, S.C.; a son, John Zimmer, Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Jerome A. "Bones" Zimmer II and his wife Quiana, Charleston, S.C.; and a close friend whom he loved as a son, Larry Spear and his wife Mary, Downers Grove, Ill.; and a brother, Joe Zimmer and his wife Nancy; and their son David, all Phoenix. He also leaves behind four wonderful grandchildren, Alex, Gray, Sarah and Kaitlin Zimmer, all Raleigh. Mr. Zimmer was preceded in death by an infant son, Gerald Zimmer; his parents; a brother, Matt Zimmer; and a sister, Mary Zimmer. The family requests any memorial contributions be sent in the name of Jerry Zimmer to St. Catherine of Sienna Church School Building Fund, to the attention of the Rev. Robert Kus, 520 W. Holding Ave., Wake Forest, N.C. 27587. The family received friends in Wake Forest. A Mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2002, in St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, Wake Forest, with the Rev. Kus, pastor, as celebrant. Mary Grace Kennedy Rudolph Homemaker was member of Grace U.M. in Grove City A funeral service will be held Friday for Mary Grace Kennedy Rudolph, Grove City. She died at 1 a.m. Sunday, March 17, 2002, in Grove Manor, Grove City, following an extended illness. She was 88. Mrs. Rudolph was born July 22, 1913, in Grove City to Carl Carter Kennedy and Grace Ida Emery Kennedy. She was a graduate of Grove City High School. A homemaker, Mrs. Rudolph was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Grove City. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 86 in Grove City; and Grove City Country Club. Mrs. Rudolph was formerly an avid bridge player. Her husband, Clayton McBride "Rudy" Rudolph, whom she married Feb. 11, 1937, died April 4, 1983. Surviving are: a daughter, Kathryn Young, Grove City; a son, Richard K. Rudolph, Naples, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Rudolph was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, William and Jack Kennedy.
RUDOLPH Joseph R. Coulter Nuclear engineering retiree, a GC native, was WWII vet GRANBURY, Texas -- Joseph R. Coulter, Granbury, formerly of Grove City, passed away Wednesday evening, March 13, 2002, in his residence following an extended illness. He was 77. Born and raised in Grove City, Mr. Coulter was born Oct. 29, 1924, a son of Joseph R. Coulter and Viola Emery Coulter. Mr. Coulter graduated in 1942 from Grove City High School, where he was recognized as class president and was a gifted athlete. He went on to receive his degree from Grove City College in 1948. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War II as an aviation navigator. After the war, he entered the nuclear engineering program, working for Westinghouse Electric Corp. and for Houston Power & Light. After retirement, he lived in Granbury for seven years. Surviving are: one son, Joseph M. Coulter, Ponte Vedra, Fla.; three daughters, Emily Rae Cole, Ponte Vedra; Evangeline Pyc, Greenville, S.C.; and Ellen Terranova, Great Barrrington, Mass.; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jane Cornelius, Grove City; and a fiance, Rose Marie LeBlanc, Granbury. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Granbury Senior Citizens Center, Granbury, Texas 76048; or the American Cancer Society, 19 Jefferson Avenue, Sharon 16146. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday (3-15-02) in Granbury, with a funeral service held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Gene Washburne Jr., a family friend, officiated. An interment was held Saturday in Holly Hills Memorial Park, Granbury. Jane Kacerski Orangeville U.M. member, homemaker lived in Burghill Jane Kacerski, 5498 Orangeville Kinsman Road, Burghill, died at 10 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville. She was 87. Mrs. Kacerski was born Dec. 2, 1914, in Cleveland to John Morrison and Grace Seltzer Morrison. She was a graduate of the former Orangeville High School. A homemaker, Mrs. Kacerski was a member of Orangeville United Methodist Church. Her first husband, John R. Black, died Feb. 4, 1950. Her second husband, Walter Kacerski, whom she married June 9, 1952, died May 13, 2000. Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Nancy) Moore, Burghill; one son, Theodore Black, Hartford; one sister, Elizabeth Meyer, Gainesville, Fla.; one brother, Harold Morrison, Fowler; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Besides her first and her second husbands, Mrs. Kacerski was preceded in death by one son; three grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. KACERSKI Louis G. Guglielmi (Williams) Former Blairsville man had sister living in Farrell CROWNSVILLE, Md. -- Louis G. Guglielmi (Williams), Crownsville, formerly of Blairsville, Pa., died Saturday evening, March 16, 2002, in Fairfield Nursing Home. He was 72. A son of Carmen J. and Maria G. Casciere Guglielmi, Mr. Guglielmi (Williams) was born March 24, 1929, in Blairsville. He was of the Catholic faith and a graduate of Blairsville High School. As a young man, Mr. Guglielmi (Williams) worked at the Blairsville Newsstand for years and was manager of the Italian Home, Blairsville, before moving to Maryland, where he was self-employed. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean conflict. Surviving are: a daughter, Annette Batson and her husband Mark, Crownsville; two grandchildren, Brooke and Bradley Batson; and two sisters, Mary Baracca, Blairsville; and Helen Moroco, Farrell. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Myrtle Ray Simpson Guglielmi, who died Sept. 24, 1992; a son, Louis Joseph Guglielmi, who died Oct. 15, 1992; and two sisters, Elvira Mancini and Martha Ross. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 1011 Old Salem Road, Greensburg, Pa. 15601; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
