Anna Mary Hughes Coulter Family farm co-owner served in Sunday school, 4H A funeral will be held Saturday for Anna Mary Hughes Coulter, 1325 Sandy Lake Road, Wolf Creek Township. She died unexpectedly at 9:38 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2002, in the emergency room of United Community Hospital, Pine Township. She was 73. Mrs. Coulter was born Aug. 20, 1928, in Grove City to David and Anna E. Richardson Hughes. A homemaker, she was co-owner and operator of their family-owned farm. She was previously a clerk at the former Paden Jewelry Store in Grove City. As a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Wolf Creek Township, Mrs. Coulter was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent of Sunday school classes. She was active with the 4H Club in Mercer County, where she was a group leader. Surviving are: her husband, DeWayne Coulter, whom she married April 6, 1949, at home; five children, Mary Ellen Coulter; William Coulter and his wife Dee; and James T. Coulter and his wife Catherine, all Grove City; Jayne Coulter, Front Royal, Va.; and Raymond E. Coulter and his wife Becky, Fairfax, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Dale (Gertrude) McFadden, Clinton, Pa.; two brothers, Merle R. Hughes and his wife Marilyn; and Melvin "Pat" Hughes and his wife Dolly, all Grove City; and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Coulter was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, David Hughes.
COULTER Harold D. 'Brud' Pryde Shontz & Myers salesman was Mason, Corral owner A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family for Harold D. "Brud" Pryde of Hermitage. He died at 10:22 a.m. Tuesday (4-9-02) of natural causes in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. He was 89. Born Oct. 17, 1912, in Sharpsville, Mr. Pryde was a son of the late Dallas and Wava Reichert Pryde. He was the husband of Ruth T. Taylor Pryde, whom he married Nov. 7, 1940. He worked as a salesperson at the former Shontz & Myers store in Sharon for many years. Mr. Pryde also owned The Corral Drive-in Restaurant in Hermitage for several years. Previously he was a partner for 20 years at Faulhaber Furniture Store in Erie. Mr. Pryde was a 1930 graduate of Sharpsville High School and later attended the University of Pittsburgh. He was member for more than 50 years of Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 517 in Sharpsville; and was a lifetime member of both Scottish Rite's New Castle Consistory and Zem Zem Shrine Temple of Erie. Mr. Pryde was of the Protestant faith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two sisters, Arlene Zinger, Durham, N.C.; and Louise, wife of Robert McElroy, Hermitage; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Pryde was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Lewis.
