Richard Cione Richard Cione, 418 Patton Ave., Farrell, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday (5-9-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 76. Obituary information was incomplete.
CIONE David John Bobby Sharon Steel retiree was officer in bowling league A funeral service will be held Saturday for David John Bobby of 6850 Warren Sharon Road, Brookfield. He died at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday (5-8-02) in his home of an apparent heart attack. He was 57. Mr. Bobby was born Jan. 22, 1945, in Sharon, a son of George and Gladys Faber Bobby. He attended Sharon schools and retired in 1993 from the electric furnace department of the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant, where he had been employed for 30 years. After retirement, Mr. Bobby worked at Erme Distributing, Hermitage. He was of the Lutheran faith. David was president of the Polish National Alliance Bowling League at Thornton Hall Lanes in Sharon. He also bowled in the Thursday Men's League and was an avid golfer. Mr. Bobby is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Baumstark, whom he married Jan. 22, 1965. He is also survived by: a son, David Bobby, Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Denise Zehner, Tallmadge, Ohio; and Julianne Bobby, Waldorf, Md.; a sister, Judy Bottenfield, Hermitage; and three grandchildren, Taylor, Alexis and Brianna. Mr. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Trinity.
BOBBY Mary C. Pruzensky Belcik Former Farrell homemaker belonged to St. Ann's Church Mary C. Pruzensky Belcik, Bentley House, Hermitage, formerly of Spearman Avenue in Farrell, died of natural causes at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. She was 88. Mrs. Belcik was born Nov. 21, 1913, in Johnstown, Pa., to Emery Pruzensky and Mary Murcko Pruzensky. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Ann's Church, Farrell. Her husband, Vincent M. Belcik, whom she married Jan. 13, 1940, in St. Theresa Church, Johnstown, survives in Hermitage. Also surviving are: a son, Robert Belcik, husband of Louise, Sharon; a sister, Matilda Frazier, Sherman Oaks, Calif.; a grandson, Craig Belcik; two granddaughters, Kirsten Grande, wife of David; and Paula Subasic; and a great-granddaughter, Emily Grande. Mrs. Belcik was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lawrence Belcik, who died July 20, 1968; two sisters, Anna Svitil and Irene Katchmeric; and three brothers, John, Frank and Thomas Pruzensky.
BELCIK Robert W. Zickar Robert W. Zickar, 709 S. Mercer Ave., Hermitage, died at 12:55 a.m. today (5-10-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. He was 70. Obituary information was incomplete.
ZICKAR Steve Yaksich Steve Yaksich, 580 Clay Furnace Road, Clark, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday (5-9-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, from injuries sustained in an automobile crash. He was 83. Obituary information was incomplete.
YAKSICH Weldon W. Cousins WE retiree was Mason, served in Trinity Presbyterian A funeral service will be held Sunday for Weldon W. Cousins, 8116 Lamor Road, East Lackawannock Township. He died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville, after an extended illness. He was 88. Mr. Cousins was born Oct. 29, 1913, in Mercer to Frank Cousins and Cora Wilson Cousins. An alumnus of Mercer High School, he retired after 37 years of service from the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. During World War II, Mr. Cousins worked on torpedoes and then was a fitter for big transformers. He was previously a sewage enforcement officer for 16 years in Mercer County. As a 50-year member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Mercer, Mr. Cousins served as an elder and deacon. He was also a life member of Free and Accepted Masons Hebron Lodge 575, Mercer; belonged to Scottish Rite's New Castle Consistory; and was a former member of Mercer Rotary Club. His first wife, the former Celia Mae Hoovler, whom he married June 21, 1941, died Dec. 4, 1986. His second wife, the former Eleanor Davis Jones, whom he married Jan. 16, 1990, survives at the residence. Also surviving are: three stepdaughters, Carol, wife of Glenn Gilbert, Fort Collins, Colo.; Becky, wife of Chris Edwards, Holland, Pa.; and Amy Dietle, Sugarland, Texas; a son-in-law, Edward Mengel, Meadville; three sisters, Sara, wife of Ralph Crawford; and Helen Campbell, all Hermitage; and Fern Bilunka, Sharon; four brothers, Robert and his wife Norma Cousins, Altoona, Pa.; Chester and his wife Mae Cousins, Mercer; James and his wife Doris Cousins, Jamestown; and Gerald and his wife Bonnie Cousins, Sharpsville; and eight stepgrandchildren. Besides his first wife, Mr. Cousins was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Bonnie Mengel; and a grandson, Mark Mengel. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 110 E. Main St., Mercer 16137.
