Meredieth Reels Obituary information remains incomplete. REELS Edward Ondo HARTFORD -- Edward Ondo, Vernon Township, Trumbull County, formerly of Clark and Transfer, died Friday morning (5-24-02) in Meadowbrook Manor. He was 80. Obituary information was incomplete. ONDO John J. Bozzo Lady of Fatima member was retired machinist John J. Bozzo, 794 S. Oakland Ave., Sharon, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2002, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 90. Mr. Bozzo was born Oct. 26, 1911, in New Alexandria, Pa., a son of the late Giuseppe and Maria Fanelli Bozzo. John and his family moved to the area in 1927. He retired in 1973 as a machinist from the former Jennings Manufacturing Co., Masury, where he had worked for more than 20 years. He previously had worked for the former National Castings Division of Midland-Ross Corp., Sharon, and Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. Mr. Bozzo was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church; the Christopher Columbus Society; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5286; and the First Italian Social Club, where he had been an officer for many years, all located in Farrell. He was also a life member of the Slovenian Workingmen's Educational Club, Sharon; a past member of the New Deal Club in Farrell, where he participated in its Bocce League; and belonged to the Italian Home Club's Bocce League. Mr. Bozzo was a former member of the Sunset Lanes Senior Bowling League, Farrell. He enjoyed gardening and walking. His wife, the former Rose C. Rio, whom he married on June 25, 1936, died on Sept. 14, 1990. Mr. Bozzo is survived by: a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Maria Jean) Rococi, Hermitage; three sisters, Mary Kessler, Cleveland; Rose Gessler, Greenville; and Patricia Montgomery, Panama City, Fla.; four brothers, Michael Bozzo, Sharon; Angelo Bozzo, Hermitage; Santino Bozzo, Transfer; and Luciano Bozzo, West Hills, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Jon C. Bozzo, Farrell; and Danielle R. Bozzo, Hermitage. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by parents; his stepmother, Maria Mignon Bozzo; four brothers, Andrew, Anthony, Antonio and Donato Bozzo; and one grandson, Joseph Robert Rococi. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
John Hvozda John Hvozda, 745 Wilhelm Road, Hermitage, died at 1:10 p.m. Saturday (5-25-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after being stricken at home. He was 89. Obituary information was incomplete. HVOZDA Walter F. Alabran Sr. Greenville Steel Car retiree was Korean conflict veteran Walter F. Alabran Sr., 452 Beatty School Road, Salem Township, died at 11:25 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2002, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. He was 72. Mr. Alabran was born Jan. 28, 1930, in Smicksburg, Pa., to Fulbert Alabran and Leona Gearhart Alabran. He retired in 1988 after 40 years of employment at the former Greenville Steel Car Co., where he was a hook-on. Mr. Alabran was a member of New Apostolic Church in Greenville. He was an avid recycler of products and enjoyed word find puzzles and watching western movies. Mr. Alabran served in the Korean conflict from 1952-53 in the Army. His wife, the former Anna Mae Craig, whom he married on Oct. 5, 1957, in Kennard (Pa.) Methodist Church, survives at home. Also surviving are: two daughters, Linda Mincer, Greenville; and April Alabran, Hadley; four sons, Walter Alabran Jr., Salem, Va.; Willard Alabran, Hadley; Randy Alabran, Linesville; and Larry Alabran, Roanoke, Va.; five brothers, Raymond, John, Fulbert and Tom Alabran, all Greenville; and Richard Alabran, Cochranton; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Alabran was preceded in death by his parents; and his stepfather, Evan Williams. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 59 N. Bishop, formerly of Ivanhoe Road, South Pymatuning Township, died at 5:15 a.m. Saturday (5-25-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 76. Obituary information was incomplete. BISHOP William A. Zawacki William A. Zawacki, 890 Lillian Drive, Hermitage, died at 4:50 p.m. Saturday (5-25-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 81. ZAWACKI Brian Thomas Everhart North Carolina man formerly of Mercer was Air Force vet RALEIGH, N.C. -- Brian Thomas Everhart, 311 Arlington Ridge Road, Cary, N.C., a former resident of Mercer, passed away at 9:06 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2002, in Rex Hospital after a brave 2½-year struggle with a rare bone marrow disease. He was 41. Brian was born Feb. 12, 1961, in Pittsburgh to Joseph and Rebecca Webber Everhart. He attended school in Mercer and served in the U.S. Air Force, both stateside and in Turkey. Brian was an avid golfer, bowler and collector of coins and baseball cards. He was also a day trader in the stock market. Before becoming ill, Brian was employed by McCollisters in Research Triangle Park, Raleigh. He is survived by: his parents, Cary; a brother, Mark Joseph Everhart and his wife Carla; and their children, Kathleen, Rachael and Matthew, all Cary; a brother, John Michael Everhart and his wife Suzann; and their children, Morgan, Michael and Nathan, all Cary; a brother, David Paul Everhart and his wife Julie; and their son, Tyler, Palm Bay, Fla.; and his grandmother, Louise Webber, North Versailles, Pa. Brian was preceded in death by his twin brother, Joseph Everhart; his grandfathers, James F. Webber and Audley Frank Everhart; and his grandmother, Mary Frieko Everhart. A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002, in St. Michael's Church, Cary, with our consoler, the Rev. Philip Tighe, associate pastor, as celebrant. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Turtle Creek, Pa., and Kingwood, W.Va., where for the last 160 years other family members, including his brother, have been buried.
