The following obituary is being reprinted from Friday to correct an error by The Herald; and correct errors and append additional information given to The Herald.

Margaret B. Barany Nagy
Holy Trinity member was retired Sharon school janitor

Margaret B. Barany Nagy, 1 Cathedral Drive, Farrell, formerly of Sharon, died of natural causes at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2002, in Life Care Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was 80.

Mrs. Nagy was born Aug. 28, 1921, in Niles, Ohio, to Frank Barany and Julianna Gyorky Barany.

She was a graduate of Sharon High School Class of 1939 and retired in 1983 from Sharon Area School District, where she worked in the custodial department.

She was a homemaker.

As a member of Holy Trinity Church in Farrell, Mrs. Nagy belonged to Holy Trinity Mothers Club; and the church Altar-Rosary Society.

Her husband, Joseph A. Nagy, whom she married March 2, 1946, died June 28, 1986.

Surviving are: two daughters, Suzanne Aszalos, New Castle; and Mary Beth Jaquay, wife of Richard, Upper St. Clair; a son, Frank A. Nagy and his wife Sandra, Scottsdale, Ariz.; two grandsons, Paul Aszalos, husband of Renee; and Joseph Jaquay; six granddaughters, Jennifer Aszalos; Kristen Pavkovich, wife of Dwight; Julianna Beasley, wife of David; and Sarah Jaquay, Emily Jaquay and Rebeccah Jaquay; and two great-grandsons, Zachary and Nathaniel Aszalos.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Nagy was preceded in death by her parents.

Dr. Dale Lee Williams
Korean War vet was Farrell hospital doctor, liked sailing

A memorial service will be held on Sunday for Dr. Dale Lee Williams, 69 Oak Tree Court, West Middlesex. He passed away peacefully at 9:46 p.m. Sunday (6-30-02) in his residence following an extended illness. He was 75.

He was born March 12, 1927, in Akron, the son of Jesse and Olive Rinehart Williams.

Dr. Williams graduated from Ohio State University in June 1958 with a bachelor of science degree. He earned his doctorate at the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo.

He served in the U.S. Navy and the Merchant Marines during the Korean War.

His family practice began in Corpus Christi, Texas. He later moved to Columbus, Ohio, where he served on the staff at Doctors Hospital as a radiologist.

Dr. Williams was also on the staff of what is now UPMC Horizon, Farrell.

Doc had a love for sailing and golf. During his professional career, he was instrumental in the early design and development of cardiac catheters. His love of boating took him to many destinations. His boat, DO DOC II, was moored in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He also enjoyed auto mechanics as a hobby.

He was a member of Oak Tree Country Club, Shenango Township.

We will miss him dearly.

Survivors include: a daughter Anita, wife of Kenneth Caldwell, Westlake, Ohio; and granddaughters Allyson Perry, Baltimore; and Katey Caldwell, Westlake; a daughter Diana, wife of John Anderson, Rockford, Mich.; a grandson Tucker; and granddaughter, Madelaine; and a daughter, Jeannette, wife of Paul McGarry, Eaton Rapids, Mich.; grandsons Luke and Kevin; and granddaughter, Megan. He also leaves one brother, Jay Williams and his wife, Carolyn; and their son, Kyle, all Urichsville, Ohio; and a very special friend, Geri Danilov, Hermitage.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Tee Program, 1290 Forker Blvd., Hermitage 16148.

Mary M. DiCarlo

Westinghouse coil winder belonged to Sacred Heart

Mary M. DiCarlo, Hermitage, formerly of North Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage, died at 11:40 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2002, in Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage, following an extended illness. She was 89.

Miss DiCarlo was born Dec. 28, 1912, in Butler County to Frank DeCarlo and Adelia DiFrancesca Antonio DeCarlo.

Mary was a coil winder for the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. from 1941 until she retired in 1963.

She was a member of Church of the Sacred Heart in Sharon.

Surviving is a sister, Emma Jackal of Mercer.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Jennie Kinney and Fannie Dallacroce; and one brother, Loretto DeCarlo.

DiCARLO

LaVera Mae Barovich

Masury woman worked at Moose Lodge 55, liked bingo

LaVera Mae Barovich of 563 Brookfield Ave. SE, Masury, formerly of West Middlesex, died at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday (7-3-02) in O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home, Masury. She was 89.

Mrs. Barovich was born May 22, 1913, in Brookfield Township, a daughter of William B. and Sarah Ann Perry King.

She was a bartender at Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 55 in Farrell, as well as at other local establishments, working a combined total of 55 years.

Her memberships included Women of the Moose, Farrell.

Mrs. Barovich was a Protestant and in her spare time enjoyed bingo and card playing.

Her husband, Cyril Barovich, whom she married Sept. 11, 1957, died Feb. 12, 1984.

Survivors include: a niece, Rosella Somlitz, Masury; a nephew, Dennis E. King, Brecksville, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Stull, Hubbard; Mary Charser, Sharpsville; and Ann Barovich, also Sharpsville; a brother-in-law, Albert Barovich, and his wife Kate, Sharpsville; many great-nieces and -nephews; and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Barovich was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Ralph, David, Arthur and Joseph King.
