Sylvia Wein Sharon woman was member of Temple Beth Israel Sylvia Wein, Sharon, died Saturday morning, July 13, 2002, in West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Wein was born in Farrell to John Schwelling and Pauline Salkowitz Schwelling. She was a member of Temple Beth Israel and its Sisterhood. Mrs. Wein also belonged to the Hadassah. She was the beloved wife of Edward Wein, whom she married Feb. 6, 1944, at home; and beloved mother of Barbara Wein, San Francisco; Jeff Wein, Belgium; and Jan Wein, Pittsburgh. Mrs. Wein was also the grandmother of Ali Whitehurst; and Rebecca, Lillian and Jessica Wein. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Beth Israel, 540 Highland Road, Sharon 16146.
WEIN Harry Albert Smith Obituary was published 7-11-02 Among Mr. Smith's survivors are two adopted children, Buck Smith and Sally Smith, both Hollidaysburg, Pa. A third adopted child, Willard Smith, preceded him in death. Additional information was given to the funeral home. Loreto 'Ray' DeJulia Sharpsville man worked 40 years at Shenango Inc. A funeral service will be held Monday for Loreto "Ray" DeJulia, 27 N. Third St., Sharpsville. He died unexpectedly at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2002, of natural causes in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 68. Mr. DeJulia was born Jan. 13, 1934, in Sharpsville to Loreto DeJulia and Cecelia Perunti DeJulia. He retired in 1992 after more than 40 years from Shenango Inc.'s former Sharpsville plant, where he was a brick layer. Mr. DeJulia enjoyed riding his bike and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are: his wife, the former Velma Peters, whom he married May 7, 1957, at home; two daughters, Lori DeJulia, Sharpsville; and Donna DeJulia, Franklin; two sons, Tony DeJulia and his companion, Nancy, Sharon; and John DeJulia, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Anna) Dragonne and Mrs. Joseph (Olivia) Walega, both Michigan; a brother, Joseph DeJulia and his wife Tina, Sharpsville; four grandsons; and four granddaughters. Mr. DeJulia was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers, Bennie, Henry, Julius, Rocky and Pete DeJulia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for funeral costs.
