Brittany Blair Jones Girl Scout belong to Conneaut Lake's band Brittany Blair Jones, 7755 Adamsville Road, West Fallowfield Township, Crawford County, passed away a 4:45 a.m. Tuesday (7-16-02) a home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 13. Brittany was born Nov. 25, 1988, in Greenville to Kelly Lin Millard, who survives. She also is survived by her father, Terry Artice. She was a very active member of Adamsville Presbyterian Church. Brittany attended Conneaut Lake Schools where she as a member of the marching band. She was also a member of Girl Scout Troop 777. Brittany enjoyed horseback riding, swimming, camping and traveling. She loved collecting dolls and Beanie Babies. Surviving besides her parents are: one brother, Brady Edward McClain, at home; her grandparents, Robert and Faith Millard of Sharon; her aunt and uncle, Ernest and Kimberly Ramp of Adamsville; an uncle, Robert Edward Millard of Atlantic; seven cousins, Angie, Stephanie, Colleen, Katie, Rachel, Kaylee and Skyler; her great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Davis of Greenville; her great-grandmother, Myra Millard of Conneaut Lake; her great-aunts and uncles, Ronald Millard, Lorraine Morris and Mr. and Mrs. William Danby; and her kitty cat, Cinnamon. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Robert Blair Millard and William Fredrick Danby; and her great-uncle, Joseph Morris. Edith R. Cadman Terrill Hermitage woman was nurse's aide, caregiver Edith R. Cadman Terrill of 3524 Longview Road, Hermitage, formerly of Greenville and Meadville, died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2002, in Hospitality Care Center of Hermitage. She was 91. Mrs. Terrill was born May 6, 1911, in Etna, Kansas, to Alma B. Cadman and Lavina Secrest Cadman. A graduate of the former Penn High School in Greenville, Mrs. Terrill worked at Talon in Meadville. She was a nurse's aide at the former Greenville Hospital and later served as a caregiver. Mrs. Terrill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Fredonia. Surviving are: three children, Alan R. Terrill, Huntsville, Ala.; Barbara A. Balko, Hermitage; and Edgar R. Terrill, Meadville; a sister, Eleanor Sproul, Greenville; a brother, Russell Cadman, Fredonia; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Terrill was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Alan Lee Terrill; three sisters, Martha Kelly, Margaret Twombly and Imogene Cattaneo; and three brothers, Paul, William and Alma B. Cadman Jr.
A memorial Mass will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday (7-19-02) in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lucas, pastor, as celebrant.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday for Marlene Edna Bialko of 1155 Baldwin Ave., Sharon. She passed away at 7:29 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. She was 66.
Born Dec. 3, 1935, in Bellefonte, Pa., Mrs. Bialko was a daughter of the late John and Anna Mae Harshbarger Shuey.
A 1953 alumna of State College High School, she and her husband, the late Melvin J. Bialko, whom she married Aug. 17, 1971, owned and operated Bialko's Point After Tavern on George Street in Farrell for 30 years. They also owned and operated The Extra Point in Sharon until its closing in the mid-1990s.
Mrs. Bialko was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Farrell, where she was a former Confraternity of Christian Doctrine instructor. She also belonged to the German Home, Farrell; and the Slovenian Workingmen's Educational Club in Sharon.
Mrs. Bialko was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include: two daughters, Robin Bialko, Sharon; and Mrs. Douglas (Roberta) Dillon, Sharon; two stepsons, Keith Bialko and his wife Katie, Pelham, Ala.; and Vern Bialko and his wife Mary Anne, Masury; two sisters, Ruth Stimer and Mrs. Rusty (Connie) Wolfe, both Port Matilda, Pa.; and five brothers, James Shuey and his wife Susan, Pine Grove Mills, Pa.; John Shuey, Germantown, Md.; Thomas Shuey and his wife Gerri, Gaithersburg, Md.; David Shuey and his wife Renee, Center Hall, Pa.; and Jeffrey Shuey, Phillipsburg, Pa.
She also leaves: seven grandchildren, Keith Bialko Jr. and his wife Kelly, Hilliard, Ohio; Drew Bialko, Columbus, Ohio; Nicole Bialko and Ian Bialko, both Masury; Sean Secich, on active duty in the U.S. Air Force at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Knoster, Mo.; and Alura Dillon and Jacob Marsh, both Sharon; and two great-grandchildren, Summer Bialko, Hilliard; and Grayson Bialko, Columbus.
In addition her husband, Melvin, who passed away Jan. 24, 1987, and her parents, Mrs. Bialko was preceded in death by one sister, Delores Bacon; and one sister-in-law, Helen Bator.
BIALKO
Francis "Fran" H. Rankin, 474 Sherman Ave., Sharon, died at 6:35 a.m. Sunday, July 15, 2002, in his residence. He was 66.
Mr. Rankin was born July 7, 1936, in Sharon to Earl Rankin and Katherine Rebecca Masson Rankin.
He retired in 1992 from the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant, where he was a craneman with 38 years of service.
He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army National Guard, having served during the Vietnam era.
He was a member of the Slovak Club; American Legion Post 432, Wheatland; Wheatland Coin Club; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1860, New Bethlehem, Pa.; Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 55, Farrell; Degree of Honor Moose Legion Post 88, Farrell; Croatian-American Civic Club, Farrell; Veterans of Foreign Wars Shenango Valley Post 1338, Sharon; Clarion County Rod and Gun Club; and Saxon Home, Farrell.
His first and second wives, Edna M. Wood Rankin and Charlotte J. Williams Rankin, are deceased.
Surviving are: a companion, Doris L. Runyan, Sharon; two sons, John H. Rankin, Sharon; and Richard Paul Rankin, Polk, Venango County; two daughters, Mrs. James (Cindy) Catanese, Warren, Ohio; and Betty Ann Rankin, Sharon; nine stepdaughters, Bonnie Ruzich, Sharon; Connie Williams, West Middlesex; Carrie Blair, Hermitage; Gina Rankin, Transfer; Jane Runyan, San Antonio; Ruby Likens, Sharon; Alice Hancock, Latrobe, Pa.; Sara Cummings, Sharon; and Barbara Felton, San Antonio; three stepsons, Leonard Fox and Samuel Felton, both Transfer; and Thurman "Butchie" Likens III, Sharon; one brother, Richard Rankin, Phoenix; and one sister, Sandy Davis, Safety Harbor, Fla.
He also leaves 22 grandchildren, 20 stepgrandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Besides his first and second wives, he was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald Rankin; a brother, Charles Rankin; two sisters, Pat Marenchin and Dorothy Miller; and one grandson, Chris Likens.

A funeral service will be held Friday for Regina I. "Jean" Nych of 15 Nych Road, Lackawannock Township. She passed away unexpectedly at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday (7-16-02) in Cleveland Clinic. She was 78.
Born June 3, 1924, in Niles, Ohio, Mrs. Nych was a daughter of the late Charles William and Minnie Wallace Foulk.
Mrs. Nych attended schools in Niles and moved to Mercer County in the early 1940s. She was an assistant for many years to Dr. Jack Stefanick, a local veterinarian, and earlier had worked at the former Mercer Cottage Hospital.
Mrs. Nych attended First Assembly of God in Hermitage.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as taking long, scenic rides, especially in the fall.
Her husband, Edward Francis Nych, whom she married May 17, 1941, in First Presbyterian Church, Niles, passed away Jan. 21 of this year.
Survivors include: four daughters, Mrs. Russell (Loretta J.) Gill, Lackawannock Township; Mrs. Daniel (Linda L.) Schuller, Kelletville, Pa.; Mrs. James (Regina "Re" M.) FitzPatrick, Naples, Fla.; and Mrs. David (MaryAnn) Allen, Brookfield; one son, Edward B. Nych and his wife Linda; one brother, William Foulk and his wife Sadie; and one sister, Amy "Ada" McGaughey, all Lackawannock Township; seven grandchildren, Daniel Schuller and his wife Terri; Mrs. Tom (Gina) Reed; Mrs. Allen (Tammy) Priester; Eddie Kopnisky and his wife Carolyn; and Niki Nych, all Lackawannock Township; Mrs. Doug (Brenda) Palmer, Hermitage; and Chad Nych and his wife Betsy, West Middlesex; and 10 great-grandchildren, twins, Daniel and Amanda Schuller; Kayla Reed, Chelsey Reed, Taylor Priester, Gage Priester, Clint Kopnisky, Rachel Kopnisky, Alex Palmer and Alyssa Boyle.
In addition to her parents and her husband, two infant brothers preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held Thursday for Howard E. Patton of 4645 Greenville-Sandy Lake Road, Stoneboro. He died unexpectedly at 9:45 p.m. Monday (7-15-02) in the emergency room of UPMC Horizon, Greenville. He was 85.
Mr. Patton was born June 24, 1917, in Sandy Lake Township to Elmer M. and Ella E. Barber Patton.
He attended the former Sandy Lake High School and retired in 1980 after 40 years of service from Cooper Energy Services Reciprocating Products in Grove City, where he was a supervisor.
Mr. Patton was of the Protestant faith.
He loved the outdoors and had a passion for the conservation efforts of wildlife and for environmental issues. For 44 years, Mr. Patton shared this passion with others by teaching Hunter-Trapper Education classes. He also, for the past 20 years, worked with youth through the Mercer County Youth Conservation Camp.
In 1977, Mr. Patton was recipient of the Seth L. Myers Conservation Award for his outstanding dedication and service to conservation, wildlife and natural resources.
For many years, he was instrumental in the set up of the wildlife building display at the Great Stoneboro Fair.
Mr. Patton was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association; member and club delegate of the Sandy Lake Sportsmen's Club; and a lifetime member and past president of the Mercer County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs.
He loved to trap, hunt and fish and served for more than 40 years as a deputy game warden for the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
Mr. Patton and his wife previously were co-owners of the Lakeview Inn restaurant of Stoneboro.
He is survived by: his wife, the former Anna K. Steinlechner, whom he married July 22, 1940, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Armour, Florence, Ky.; one son, Gary L. "Buzz" Patton and his wife Carol, Scottsdale, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Shelly Riddle and Rob Armour, both Florence; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harry Leland "Sandy" Patton, Sandy Lake. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mr. Patton was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, John and Glenn Patton.
