Daniel B. Doolin Jr. Daniel B. Doolin Jr., 451 Yankee Ridge Road, Lackawannock Township, was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Doolin. Additional information was given to The Herald.
DOOLIN Margaret Loretta Friestad Homemaker enjoyed nature, working outside A funeral service will be held Monday (7-29-02) for Margaret Loretta Friestad, 124 Woodrow Court, Sharon. She passed away at 3:35 a.m. Thursday (7-25-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a long illness. She was 85. Born March 1, 1917, in Masury, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Daisy Bowen Follmeyer. She attended Brookfield Schools and was baptized as a Catholic as a young girl. A meticulous homemaker who enjoyed cooking and working outside, Margaret particularly loved working with all types of flowers, landscaping, shopping and taking long rides on country roads. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who always looked forward to spending time with her family. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Cecelia "Scrappy" Burrows of Sharon; two sons, John Edward Hepler and his wife, Vesta, of Sharon; and Albert E. LaFon, at home; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Lee Meyers; and an infant, Judith; and two sons, Donald L. Hepler; and an infant, Timothy. FRIESTAD Dominic Infante Jr. Dominic Infante Jr., 1101 Emerson Ave., Farrell, died at 8:15 a.m. today (7-26-02) in Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage. He was 84. Obituary information was incomplete.
INFANTE Robert William Smith Retired in 1980 from Sharon Westinghouse's storeroom Robert William Smith, 6798 Frogtown Road, Hermitage, died of pneumonia at 5:06 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. He was 83. Mr. Smith was born Oct. 19, 1918, in Sharon to Frank Lawrence and Laura Bell Fennell Smith. He retired in 1980 from Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., where he worked in the storeroom. Mr. Smith was a Methodist and also a former school bus driver. He was a member of Western Reserve Sportsmen's Club in Lackawannock Township; and Veterans of Foreign Wars James Stoner Post 6233, West Middlesex. Surviving are: his wife, the former Dorothy Wilcox, whom he married May 5, 1941; one daughter, Laura, wife of John LaCamera, Mercer; one son, James R. Smith, Hermitage; one sister, Carrie, wife of Kenneth Kahl, Hermitage; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Frank Smith and John Smith, preceded him in death.
SMITH John P. Sirochman Penn Hills man worked _for WE, had family here PENN HILLS, Pa. -- John P. Sirochman, Penn Hills, died Tuesday, July 16, 2002, in Pittsburgh Hospice. He was 80. Mr. Sirochman was born June 30, 1922, in Pittsburgh to Joe and Anna Vasil Sirochman. The alumnus of Hickory High School, Hermitage, served in the Marine Corps during World War II and sang in a barbershop group. He worked at Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. Mr. Sirochman dedicated many years to Shining Arrow-Allegheny East. The organization helps handicapped and mentally challenged children and adults. He also enjoyed golfing. Surviving are: his wife, the former Mary L. Medvec, Penn Hills; a brother, Joseph Sirochman and his wife, Fran; and stepfamily, Tom Durisko, Alice Toth and Gloria Becker of the Sharon area. Memorial contributions can be made to Shining Arrow, Box 17297, Pittsburgh 15235. Mass of Christian burial was 11 a.m. today (7-26-02) in St. Gerard Majella Church, Penn Hills. He was buried in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville, Pa.
