George A. Schehl WWII Army Air Force vet was retired truck driver
George A. Schehl, 1007 Brentwood Drive, Pymatuning Township, died at 5:35 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville. He was 84. Mr. Schehl was born June 9, 1918, in Butler, to John A. Schehl Jr. and Rose Beers Schehl. He attended Butler High School and was a truck driver for more than 10 years at Warner-Smith Trucking of Masury, retiring in 1980. Mr. Schehl previously worked for many years as a truck driver for Valley Freight of New Castle and Greenville. He was a member of St. Michaelís Church; and Knights of Columbus Council 1446, both in Greenville. Mr. Schehl was also a former member of Loyal Order of the Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both Butler. From 1942-1945, he served as a military policeman in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Surviving are: his wife, the former Helen M. Enright, whom he married Sept. 24, 1943, Greenville; one daughter, Donna M. DuLaney; one son, Richard G. Schehl, both Greenville; four sisters, Sister Mary Vincent Schehl, Pittsburgh; Ethel Hinton, New Castle; Clara Marie Hurley, Georgia; and Diane Sybert, Graham, Wash.; one brother, Raymond C. Schehl, Salem, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Michael A. DuLaney, Angela M. Schehl and Chad R. Schehl. Mr. Schehl was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Joan Hertz; and one brother, Herbert Schehl. Memorial contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund of St. Michaelís School, 85 N. High St., Greenville 16125.
SCHEHL Edith Johnston McIntyre Edith Johnston McIntyre, 49 Seventh St., Sharpsville, died at 10:06 p.m. Friday (8-23-02) in the hospital Sharon Regional Health System. She was 91. Obituary information was incomplete.
McINTYRE Carl Donald ëDoní Jones Carl Donald "Don" Jones, Leesburg-Grove City Road, Springfield Township, formerly of Grove City and Fredonia, died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday (8-24-02) in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. He was 63. Obituary information was incomplete.
