Louis A. Ciochetto GCC security retiree had brother in Hermitage Louis A. Ciochetto, Orchard Manor, Pine Township, formerly of Forestville, Pa., died at 9:40 p.m. Sept. 8, 2002, in the nursing home. He was 93. Mr. Ciochetto was born Sept. 16, 1908, in Madison, Westmoreland County, Pa., to Charles and Desolina Caserio Ciochetto. He retired in 1973 after 15 years from Grove City College, where he worked in security. He worked until 1958 at Michigan Limestone, a division of U.S. Steel in Boyers. He worked there for 30 years. He was a member of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Forestville and was a lifetime member of Ellwood City Moose Lodge. His wife, the former Ethel E. Bondariva, whom he married April 14, 1934, died Sept. 27, 1996. Surviving are: one son, David L. Ciochetto and his wife, Cynthia L., Forestville; one granddaughter, Nikki L. Ciochetto, Forestville; two grandsons, Edward A. Ciochetto, Butler; and David S. Ciochetto, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; two great-granddughters, Jennifer Ciochetto and Melissa Ciochetto, both Butler; two sisters, Mrs. Newell "Buck" (Emma) Walter, Harrisville; and Mrs. Theodore (Bernice) Decola, Butler; and one brother, Charles Ciochetto, Hermitage. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Leroy E. Ciochetto; two sisters and four brothers.

John R. Jones Custodian was ABATE member, '72 LHS grad John R. Jones, 559 Creek Road, Jackson Center, died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday (9-8-02) in New Vernon Township from injuries he received in a motorcycle accident. He was 47. He was born Nov. 23, 1954, in Mercer to Richard M. and Harriet Moon Jones. He was a 1972 Lakeview High School graduate and worked for Foster Grading Co. in Jackson Center; Trinity Industries-Greenville Rail Car Division; Black Construction Co. of Jackson Center; and was currently worked in the maintenance department of Lakeview High School. He was of the Protestant faith. He loved to ride motorcycles and traveled to Dayton, Fla., on several occasions. He was a member of the Harley Owner's Group. He was an 18-year member of Alliance of Bikers Aimed Towards Education (ABATE) of Mercer County. He was affiliated with Jackson Field and Stream Club of Jackson Center. He enjoyed hunting and tinkering. He enjoyed his family, especially his children. He was a Cleveland Browns fan. He married Cynthia "Cindy" Gallowich on June 9, 2000. She survives. He is survived by his father of Jackson Center; two daughters, Mrs. James (Christy) Wygant, Stoneboro; and Chelsey Ayn Jones, Greenville; two stepdaughters, Brandi Goans, Iuka, Miss.; and Sara Keck, Stoneboro; two brothers, Terry L. Jones and his wife, Carolyn; and Chuck A. Moon and his wife, Suzann, all Jackson Center; and one grandson, Blake James Wygant, Stoneboro. JONES Eleanor L. McDonald Hubbard native was formerly of Sharon Eleanor L. McDonald, 755 N. Main St., Meadville, died Sept. 9, 2002, in her residence. She was 72. Mrs. McDonald was born April 11, 1930, in Hubbard to Albert and Frances Evans Bacon. She lived from 1948 through 1963 in the Sharon area. She was a homemaker and a Protestant. The 1948 alumna of the former Hartford High School was a majorette for the high school band. Her areas of interest included bingo, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband, Hayes McDonald, preceded her in death. She formerly was married to Charles Arthur Heidelbach. Surviving are: three daughters, Mrs. David (Pam) Seaholm, Cochranton; Mrs. David (Brenda) Stevens, Conneautville; and Mrs. Mark (Karen) Elnikar, Conneaut Lake; three sons, Jeff Heidelbach and his wife, Kathy, New Eagle, Pa.; Rick Heidelbach, Phoenix; and Don Heidelbach and his wife, Irena, Waxahachie, Texas; one brother, Paul Bacon and his wife, Rosemary, Farrell; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Thelma Parkany and Ruth Novak.
McDONALD
Mariana E. Aiken City's 1st policewoman retired as crossing guard Mariana E. Aiken, 739 Federal Drive, Sharon, passed away at 8:33 p.m. Sunday (9-8-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 84. Born Jan. 14, 1918, in Youngstown, she was a daughter of the late Shirl and Hazel Carter Snyder. She was a 1936 alumna of Ursuline High School, Youngstown. Mariana was the first policewoman for the City of Sharon and later served as a crossing guard for many years at the intersection of Case Avenue and Linden Street, retiring in 1997. In 1994, she received the Gift of Time Tribute from American Family Institute and a letter of accommodation from the City of Sharon. A member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon, she was a former member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas Sharon Court 507 and the Toastmistress International. Mariana, who was well known for her love of children, enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, traveling, ice skating and dancing. She and her husband had a home in Conneaut Lake, where they enjoyed summers boating, golfing and picnicking. She is survived by her husband, John Presley Aiken, whom she married Dec. 6, 1969. She also leaves one daughter, Mariana E. Knight, Sharon; three sons, William V. Lavin Jr., Vienna; John Patrick Lavin and his wife, Beverley, Mercer; and Terrance Francis Lavin, Austintown, Ohio; two stepsons, John P. Aiken Jr. and his wife, Susan, Craig, Colo.; and Gary G. Aiken and his wife, June, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, William Snyder and his wife, Charlotte, Parkman, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Richard and Thomas Knight, Beverley Van Horn, Jeffrey Lavin and Lesley, Katie, Joshua, Tara, Kristen and Natalie Aiken; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew Knight, David Knight, Miranda Knight and Zackariah Van Horn. In addition to her parents, two sisters, Monarita DeCatur and Theresa Jones, preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 19 Jefferson Avenue, Sharon 16146.

Keith W. Stoner Mr. Stoner is survived by a sister, Mary Ellen Dobson, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Grande, Hermitage.
