Emogene 'Emmy' Fejes

GARLAND, Texas -- Emogene "Emmy" Fejes of 3213 Greenleaf Court, Garland, formerly a longtime resident of the Shenango Valley, died at 4:25 p.m. Friday (9-20-02) in Baylor Medical Center. She was 86.

Mrs. Fejes was born on July 20, 1916, in Clarion, a daughter of Clarence and Ann Eiseman Jones.

A 1934 graduate of Sharon High School, she was a companion sitter for more than 10 years with John XXIII Home in Hermitage.

Her memberships included Church of the Sacred Heart in Sharon. She was very devoted to her family.

Her husband, Joseph A. Fejes, whom she married on Feb. 8, 1938, died Nov. 14, 1980.

Survivors include: one daughter, Patricia Gilbert and her husband Gary, with whom Emmy lived in Garland; one son, Michael Fejes and his wife Cheryl, Mercer; and three grandchildren, Gary Patrick Gilbert and his wife Shae; Eric Christian Gilbert and Zachary Fejes.

Emmy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harold Jones; and two sisters, Kathryn Hart and Ruth Stanfa.

Martin J. Meadors
St. Michael's Church member was avid hunter

Martin J. Meadors, 19 Plum Road, West Salem Township, died at 11:20 a.m. Sunday (9-22-02) in his residence after a six-month illness. He was 59.

Mr. Meadors was born Feb. 9, 1944, in Greenville to Jess W. Meadors and Geraldine C. Ray Meadors.

He was a graduate of the former St. Michael's High School in Greenville and worked for 37 years at Trinity Industries-Greenville Railcar Division, where he was a welder assembler.

Mr. Meadors was a member of St. Michael's Church in Greenville.

An avid hunter, Martin was a member of the National Rifle Association and a past member of White Oak Shooting Club in Greenville.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Elaine F. Landfried, whom he married Sept. 8, 1962, at home; two daughters, Tonya M. Rushwin, Hermitage; and Mrs. David (Stephanie) Koewacich, Greenville; one son, Christopher M. Meadors and his wife Lisa, Greenville; two sisters, Rosemary Brotherton, Pittsburgh; and Katherine Martorelli, Camp Hill, Pa.; one brother, David Meadors, Jamestown; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Marilyn Tyson and Carol Webber.

Marjeanne Hawthorne

Marjeanne Hawthorne, 55 W. Connelly Blvd., Sharon, died at 7:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System following an extended illness. She was 75.

Mrs. Hawthorne was born Jan. 28, 1927, in Sharon, to Malcom Hassel and Rachel Fawcett Hassel.

A graduate of Sharon High School, she retired in 1989 after 25 years as a clerk for Warehouse Sales in Sharon.

Mrs. Hawthorne was a Protestant.

She was a member of the Crossword Puzzle Club and played bingo at Connelly Manor in Sharon.

She loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Benjamin (Paula) DeMatteo, Hermitage; two sons, Douglas and his wife Maryanne Baker, Sharpsville; and Gordon and his wife Donna Baker, Gloucester, Va.; four grandchildren, Lisa Guidace, John Dorus, Susan Baker and Scott Baker; and three great-grandchildren, Makayla Guidace, Makenzie Guidace and John Anthony Dorus.

Mrs. Hawthorne was preceded in death by her parents.

HAWTHORNE
    Marjeanne, 75, of 55 W. Connelly Blvd., Sharon.

George Latzo

Brookfield Optimist crafted stained glass pieces

George Latzo of 1910 Warner Road, Brookfield, died at 12:20 p.m. Monday (9-16-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 79.

Mr. Latzo was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Rankin, Pa., a son of John and Suzann Mandzak Latzo.

A 1949 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Mr. Latzo was employed by the State of Ohio in their advertising department.

His memberships included the Brookfield Optimist Club, through which he was involved in the oratorical contest.

In his retirement, he crafted stained glass.

Mr. Latzo was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Albert, Andrew, John and Michael of Slovakia; and Paul and Steven; and one sister, Mary Chucko.

Memorial contributions may be made to the George Latzo Memorial Fund at Christ Lutheran Church, 396 Buhl Blvd., Sharon 16146.

Ronald 'Ron' Joseph Evans

Wheatland man was Army veteran

Ronald "Ron" Joseph Evans, 45 Cherry St., Wheatland, passed away on Saturday (9-21-02) in his home of natural causes. He was 49.

Mr. Evans was born Dec. 6, 1952, in Sharon, a son of Eugene V. Evans and June E. Edney Evans.

He was a 1971 graduate of West Middlesex High School.

Ron worked at many jobs, including truck driving and house painting.

He served with the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1982.

Surviving are: one sister, Mrs. Ronald (Carol L.) Kropinak, Hubbard; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and one niece.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents.

Margaret E. Clayton

Homemaker valued church, liked embroidery

Margaret E. Clayton, 83, of 7789 Lake Road, Conneaut Lake (East Fallowfield Township, Crawford County), formerly of Sandy Lake, died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday (9-22-02) in St. Paul Homes, West Salem Township, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Clayton was born Dec. 12, 1918, in Venango County to John William and Alice (Osborne) McWilliams.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the North Sandy Presbyterian Church, Utica, Pa., and she attended Geneva Pilgrim Chapel Church of Conneaut Lake. Her church was very important to her and she was active in mission work at the Pilgrim church.

Mrs. Clayton enjoyed embroidery and watching the Christian channel on television.

She married James P. Clayton and he preceded her in death in November 1985.

She is survived by: one son, John E. Clayton of Conneaut Lake; and one sister, Mary E. Scott of St. Paul Homes.

Mrs. Clayton was preceded in death by: her husband, parents and her stepmother, Maude McWilliams.

Jeannette E. Domascieno

Masury homemaker enjoyed reading, animals

Jeannette E. Domascieno, of Masury, died Saturday afternoon, Sept. 21, 2002, in Orange Village Care Center, Masury. She was 70.

Mrs. Domascieno was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Franklin, a daughter of Rawlon B. Edwards and Winifred P. Stucke Edwards.

She was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Domascieno was a homemaker, previously having worked for Delphi Packard Electric Systems.

She was a member of Philadelphia Church of God, Akron, and enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. She was an avid animal lover.

Her husband, John "Jake" Domascieno II, whom she married July 9, 1951, died on July 20, 1992.

She leaves: four sons, John E. Domascieno III, Youngstown; Joseph Domascieno and his wife Peggy, one of her caregivers, Hubbard; Mark Domascieno, Masury; and Eric Domascieno, also Youngstown; a daughter, Mary Beth Kovach, Masury, with whom she made her home; a brother, John Davis and his wife Elaine, Sharon; several nieces and nephews; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A brother, Rawlon B. Edwards; a sister, Phyllis I. Jones, and her parents are deceased.

Jane A. Davis

Hermitage computer operator was Catholic

A private funeral service and interment will be held for Jane A. Davis, 35 S. Neshannock Road, Hermitage, formerly of Vienna. She died at noon Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, in her home of natural causes. She was 58.

Miss Davis was born Aug. 26, 1944, in Rock Island, Ill., to George Davis and Rosemary Sheil Davis.

She was a computer operator for Trumbull Memorial Hospital and also worked at WCI Steel Corp., both in Warren, Ohio.

Jane was a Roman Catholic.

Surviving are: a sister, Sharon Bird, Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers, Michael Davis, Greenville, S.C.; and Patrick Davis, Rock Island; and her caregivers, Marcia, Justin, Megan and Spencer Machuga, all Hermitage.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Tarry Davis; and one brother, Kevin Davis.
