John Toth YOUNGSTOWN -- John Toth, 561 W. Marshall Road, McDonald, Ohio, died unexpectedly at 7:37 p.m. Friday (10-25-02) in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Health Center. He was 66. Obituary information was incomplete.
Freda Mae Kurpe Georgia woman was great-grandmother Freda Mae Kurpe, Loganville, Ga., died Saturday morning, Oct. 26, 2002. She was 83. Mrs. Kurpe is survived by: two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Jackie Kurpe, Loganville; and Raymond and Georgine Kurpe, Westerville, Ohio; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Carrie B. Whiteside FARRELL -- Carrie B. Whiteside, 1109 German St., Erie, formerly of Farrell, died at 5:15 a.m. Saturday (10-26-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. She was 78. Obituary information was incomplete.
Ralph Reed Bell II Well-known bowler worked at Bell Motors, drove truck Ralph Reed Bell II of 319 New Castle Ave., Sharon, died of natural causes at 12:17 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, after an extended illness. He was 69. Born on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1932, in Sharon, Mr. Bell was a son of the late Kenneth L. and Mabel Marshall Bell. He was employed as a service manager and mechanic for the former Bell Motors in Sharon for 35 years. He had also worked as a truck driver for Joy Cone Co. for nine years and later as an independent truck driver until 1992. Mr. Bell was a 1950 graduate of Sharon High School and went on to attend Allegheny College in Meadville and Youngstown State University. He was well-known in local bowling circles. He is survived by: his former wife, Elaine Bell, Sharon; two daughters, Karen L., wife of Ronald Ardlen; and Lauren S. Bell, all Sharon; two sisters, Susanne Ray, Deerfield Beach, Fla.; and Joanne Bell, Washington, D.C.; four granddaughters, Diana Evans, Sarah Kustelega, Brittany Bell and Kiera Ardlen; a grandson, Mike Fetsko; two great-grandsons, Dillon Maurice and Nicholas Maurice; and three great-granddaughters, Grace Maurice, Kristina Kustelega and Serena Kustelega. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Donations may be made to his family through the funeral home.
BELL Ned David Wilson Ned David Wilson, 42 Rickert Road, West Salem Township, died at 11:50 a.m. Saturday (10-26-02) in UPMC Horizon, Greenville. He was 75. Obituary information was incomplete.
Steven Michael Cascio Steven Michael Cascio of 48 Hyde Hill Road in Salem Township, was stillborn at 2:17 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville. He is survived by: his parents, Christopher S. and Erika L. Atkinson Cascio; and a brother, Hunter O. Cascio, all at home; his paternal grandparents, Gary and Linda Cascio, Greenville; his maternal grandparents, Larry and Nadine Atkinson, also Greenville; his paternal great-grandmothers, Lillian Cascio, Greenville; and Shirley Palmer, Volant; and his maternal great-grandparents, Nick and Nellie Kusich, Greenville; and John and Eva Atkinson, Clearwater Fla.
John E. Marshall CBI retiree was member of First Baptist, WWII vet John E. Marshall, 102 Hollywood Blvd., Apartment 6, Hempfield Township, died at 9:13 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, in his home. He was 86. Mr. Marshall was born Sept. 25, 1916, in Polk, to John E. Marshall and Maude Stone Marshall. He was a graduate of Polk High School. An employee for more than 30 years at Chicago Bridge & Iron Co.'s former Hempfield Township plant, Mr. Marshall worked in the plant's Shipping Department, retiring in 1981. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenville. He enjoyed traveling, as well as playing and watching baseball. Mr. Marshall served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945, participating during World War II in Italy and in North Africa. In honor of his service, he received the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with five Bronze Stars. His wife, the former Kathryn F. Axtell, whom he married on June 11, 1943, survives at home in Hempfield Township. Also surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Susan) Jayne, Greenville; one son, James Phillip Marshall, Boulder, Colo.; four grandchildren, Rashaun Marshall, Justin Marshall, Travis Jayne and Christopher Jayne; and one great-grandson, Cade Phillip Alden. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ancel, Harry, Frank and Charles Marshall; and five sisters, Mary, Louise, Evelyn, Olive and Alice Mae. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 60 Shenango St., Greenville 16125.
Richard Moll Richard Moll, 4495 Clifford Drive, Hermitage, died at 1:49 p.m., Saturday (10-26-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 82. Obituary information was incomplete.
