Edna Mae Freeman Fredonia woman retired from Defense Department Edna Mae Freeman of 60 Water St., Fredonia, died early Tuesday morning, Nov. 5, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville, following a brief illness. She was 67. Edna was born June 5, 1935, in Fredonia, a daughter of James E. and Josephine Clark Rushton. She had retired as a budget cost analyzer for the United States Department of Defense and most recently had been a sales associate with Home Depot in Niles, Ohio. Edna was a member of Fredonia United Methodist Church and belonged to Fredonia Lions Club. She is survived by: her mother, Josephine Clark Mitchell, Greenville; a daughter, Karla Michelle Lohman, Amboy, Wash.; four sons, William David Hart II, Roseville, Calif.; Charles Edward Hart, Foresthill, Calif.; Shawn Erie Payne, also Foresthill; and Timothy Ray Freeman, Lincoln, Calif.; one sister, Katherine Nevel and her husband Homer, Pittsfield, Pa.; two brothers, Ronald Rushton, Meadville; and James A. Rushton and his wife Mariko, Garland Texas; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Edna was preceded in death by her father; a son, Mark Alan Hart; and a sister, Ethel Swingle Fleet. The family has suggested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association, 7 Millbrook Road, Wilton, NH 03086.
FREEMAN Joe A. Hedglin Former Sharon man, veteran lived in Warren WARREN, Ohio -- Joe A. Hedglin, 1040 Woodland Ave. N.E., Warren, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday (11-5-02) in St. Joseph's Health Care after a lengthy illness. He was 52. Mr. Hedglin was born Jan. 2, 1950, in Mercer County to Joe A. Hedglin and Margie May Richards. For the past 21 years, he lived in the Warren area and was formerly of Sharon. Mr. Hedglin worked in utility construction as a laborer and was formerly a truck driver for many area companies. He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam era, serving from 1968 to 1972. Joe loved to dance, shoot pool, play his guitar and travel, especially riding his motorcycle. He belonged to the N.A.U.S. Club OH17A; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1090; and Army-Navy Garrison 543, both Warren; and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 327 in Sharon. Mr. Hedglin was also a charter member of Living Hope Community Fellowship Church in Warren. His wife, the former Mary Kay Stone, whom he married Dec. 12, 1998, survives at home in Warren. Also surviving are: one son, Joe Charles Hedglin, Sharon; a daughter, Tracy Sue Minteer and her fiance Michael Penzerro, Hermitage; three stepsons, Wade Gilbert and his wife Renee, Lake Milton, Ohio; and Robert and Richard Gilbert, both Warren; one stepdaughter, Sue Gilbert, Warren; and nine grandchildren, Jessie Minteer, Chelsea Trontel, Jaisea Hedglin, Mary Jo Sullivan, Wesley Gilbert, Joel Coty Gilbert, John Penzerro, Jake Penzerro and Marissa Unverdorben. He also leaves: three brothers, Larry D. Hedglin and his wife, Kathy, Warren; Dwight Hedglin and his wife Ruth, Mansfield, Ohio; and Frank William Hedglin and his wife Chris, Pasadena, Texas; and three sisters, Mrs. David (Joyce Elaine) Ratell, Newton Falls, Ohio; and Mrs. Carl (Eleanor Marie) Uthe; and Mrs. James (Debra Sue) Carpenter, all Warren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Hedglin was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Margie Jo McAnallen.
HEDGLIN Loreda J. Hoffman Loreda J. Hoffman, 7799 First St., Masury, died at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday (11-6-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 67. Obituary information was incomplete.
HOFFMAN David Kasbee Former Stoneboro man lived in California FRESNO, Calif. -- David Kasbee, Fresno, formerly of Stoneboro, passed away Nov. 1, 2002, in Fresno after a lengthy illness. He was 38. David was born Feb. 3, 1964, in Sewickley, Pa., to Donald G. Kasbee and Sherry Black Kasbee. For one year he was employed as a finisher for Caldwell Surfaces, a flooring business in Fresno. He was a member of People's Church of Fresno. David was recently preceded in death by his cousin, Freddie Lucas. He is survived by his mother and father; a sister, Pamela Caldwell of Fresno; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2222 W. Shaw Ave., No. 202, Fresno, CA 93726.
KASBEE Charles 'Keith' McFeaters Self-employed truck driver had lived in Harrisville Charles "Keith" McFeaters, a resident since Feb. 14, 2002, of Trinity Living Center, 400 Hillcrest Ave. in Grove City, formerly of Harrisville RD 1, passed away at 2:34 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, in Trinity Living Center after an extended illness. He was 71. Born May 1, 1931, in Grove City, Mr. McFeaters was a son of Charles A. and Lillian L. Buchanan McFeaters. He was married to Peggy Hollabaugh on Jan. 2, 1954. She passed away Jan. 11, 2001. Mr. McFeaters was self-employed, having owned and operated his own truck. He also worked for different leasing companies, transporting goods with his truck extensively all over the United States. He was a Protestant by faith and was also a member of American Legion Post 852 in Harrisville. He is survived by seven children: Charles K. McFeaters Jr. and his wife Gail McFeaters, Kennerdell; Mrs. Loy (Susan D.) Cameron, Volant; Ronald L. and his wife Barb McFeaters, Forestville; Richard E. and his wife Donna McFeaters, Jackson Center; Mrs. Randy (Sharon A.) Rowland, Kennerdell; Edward D. and his wife Michele McFeaters, Harrisville; and Mrs. Douglas (Lisa J.) Smith, also Kennerdell. Also surviving are: 13 grandchildren, Donald and Amanda Stillwagon, Jason and Rhonda Gothe, Timothy and Chris McFeaters, James and Michele Wade, Eric Stillwagon, Dennis and Wendy Alcorn, Doug Wade, Rick and Melissa Ferguson, Ronald McFeaters, Jonathan Smith, Andrew McFeaters, Mason McFeaters and Jacob Smith; and four great-grandchildren, Victoria Gothe, Dillon Gothe, Richie Ferguson and Christian Alcorn. He also leaves one brother, David L. McFeaters and his wife Shirley, Harrisville. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert L. McFeaters. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 19 Jefferson Ave., Sharon 16146; or through the funeral home to the Alzheimer's Alliance of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
McFEATERS Freda McKinnon Sharon homemaker attended Mercer schools Freda McKinnon of 548 Lafayette St. in Sharon passed away at 8 a.m. Wednesday (11-6-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System following a brief illness. She was 73. Mrs. McKinnon was born Oct. 9, 1929, in Sharon, a daughter of Lewis and Anna Pippin Thomas. She attended Mercer schools. A homemaker, Mrs. McKinnon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her husband, William "Bill" McKinnon, whom she married Oct. 21, 1950, survives at home. Also surviving are: three daughters, Carol J. Calhoun and her husband Fred L., Warren, Ohio; Debra A. Burkhart and her husband Randy, Masury; and Pamela S. McKinnon, at home. She also leaves: her two sons, Richard K. McKinnon and his wife Sue, Sharon; and Randy A. McKinnon and his wife Allison, Mercer. She is also survived by: her sister, Genevieve Hackett and her husband Walter, Avalon Lake, Fla.; and two brothers, Ronald Thomas, Sharon; and James Thomas, Erie; six grandchildren, Shawn and Justin Burkhart; Carrie and Jessica McKinnon; and Fred Calhoun Jr. and Jennifer Baugh; and seven great-grandchildren, Brianna and Skylar Ann McKinnon; Brandy Burkhart; Alexandria and Hannah Baugh; and Sylvia and Maxwell Calhoun. Mrs. McKinnon was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William D. "Bear" McKinnon; three sisters, Lucille Davis, Helen Collins and Frances Hobbs; and one brother, Lewis Thomas.
McKINNON George S. Rendick Lifelong Sharon man was Westinghouse retiree George S. Rendick, 423 E. Budd St., Sharon, passed away peacefully at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, in his residence. He was 78. Mr. Rendick was born March 11, 1924, in Sharon, he was a lifelong city resident, a son of Stefan Rendick and Amelia Bonjecovic Rendick. A 1942 alumnus of Sharon High School, he was employed as a group leader for 41 years at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., retiring in 1982. Mr. Rendick was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Sharon. His wife, the former Mary Y. Bohanes, whom he married July 26, 1948, survives at home. He also leaves: one daughter, Nancy Rendick Adamy, Cozenovia, N.Y.; one son, Gary Rendick and his wife Lori, Hazelton, Pa.; three sisters, Mary Vranich, Ann Danessa Kuti and Catherine Pisegna and her husband Albert, all Sharon; one brother, John Rendick, Hermitage; and three grandsons, John Adamy, Ryan Rendick and Michael Rendick. Mr. Rendick was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Frances Markick; and three infant brothers, Steven, Joseph and Frank Rendick.
