Terrence J. Lieb, Hempfield Township, formerly of Kinsman, died early Wednesday morning, Nov. 27, 2002, in White-Cliff Nursing Home, Hempfield Township. He was 46.

Mr. Lieb was born May 12, 1956, in Punxsutawney, Pa., to Max C. Lieb and Ruth Lapso Lieb.

Mr. Lieb had been a resident of White-Cliff Nursing Home for the past 22 years following an accident.

He was a 1974 graduate of Badger High School and was a self-employed carpenter after graduation.

Mr. Lieb was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Kinsman.

He enjoyed the outdoors. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Survivors include: his father and mother, both Kinsman; a brother, Dennis J. Lieb, Sharon; two sisters, Mary R. Place, Gustavus Township, Trumbull County; and Ann M. Fedorko, Omaha, Neb.; a former wife, Donna (Bates), Greenville; one nephew and six nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 6397 state Route 87, Kinsman, Ohio 44428.

Julia P. Parillo

Girard woman belonged

to St. Rose Church

GIRARD, Ohio -- Julia P. Parillo passed away at 3 p.m. Monday (11-25-02) in Liberty Health Care Center. She was 87.

Mrs. Parillo was born March 20, 1915, in Youngstown, a daughter of Vincenzo and Victoria Battaferante Malie.

She was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard and the church's Mount Carmel Society.

Mrs. Parillo married Anthony Parillo in 1936. He passed away in 1976.

She is survived by: two sons, John Parillo, Canton, Ohio; and Dr. Anthony Parillo, Flint, Mich.; one sister, Florence Weatherington, Suitland, Md.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband Anthony, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Patsy and Vincent Parillo; one grandson, Nicholas Parillo; five brothers, James Malie, John Malie, Ricky Malie, Cuddy Malie and Michael Malie; and three sisters, Margaret Pollifrone, Carmella Horvat and Rose Scialdone.

Martha R. Miller

of Harrisville Methodist

Martha R. Miller, West Prairie Street, Harrisville, died at 7:43 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, in her residence. She was 81.

Mrs. Miller was born May 1, 1921, in Fuller, Jefferson County, to Adam Dinsmore and Ella E. Wolfe Dinsmore.

A homemaker, she was a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Franklin M. "Tank" Miller, whom she married on May 25, 1939, died on Nov. 12, 1981.

Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Anthony W. (Joan C.) Kearney, Harrisville; three sons, Donald F. Miller and Ronald E. Miller, both Harrisville; and Garry L. Miller, Mercer; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Beulah Dempsey; and two brothers, Aaron Dinsmore and James Dinsmore.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Harrisville United Methodist Church, Box 424, Harrisville 16038.

Steve J. Sawaska

World War II veteran

worked in construction

WARREN, Ohio -- Steve J. Sawaska of 2916 Bears Den Road, Youngstown, passed away on Sunday (11-24-02) in Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was 84.

Mr. Sawaska was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Mary Lysyk Sawaska.

He was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Sawaska worked in construction for 40 years as a welder and was a member of Bridge-Structural-Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers Local 207 in Boardman, Ohio.

Steve was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II in the European theater.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3767 in Hubbard.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He leaves a sister, Rose Feigert of Sharon.

Four brothers, Nick, Alex, William and Mike Sawaska, as well as his parents, are deceased.

Francis 'Gene' Sarko

Francis "Gene" Sarko, 8318 state Route 305, Burghill, died at 12:03 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, in Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren. He was 66.

Mr. Sarko was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Warren to Joseph W. Sarko and Johanna Popp Sarko.

He retired in 2001 from WCI Steel in Warren, where he was employed for 40 years in the Strip Shipping Department as a turn foreman.

Mr. Sarko was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Vienna.

He enjoyed cars, baseball, and was an avid Notre Dame fan.

His wife, the former Shirley Blair, whom he married on April 21, 1957, survives at the residence.

Also surviving are: one daughter, Laura Hall, Gustavus, Ohio; five sons, Joseph Sarko, Howland, Ohio; Gary, Mark and Greg Sarko, all Cortland, Ohio; and Matt Sarko, Hartford; one brother, Joseph L. Sarko, Liberty Township, Trumbull County; and 15 grandchildren.

Mr. Sarko was preceded in death by his parents.
