Josephine White Masury woman was New Hope Baptist member A funeral service will be held Thursday (12-26-02) for Josephine White, 747 Owsley St., Masury. She died at 12:28 p.m. Thursday (12-19-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. She was 80. Mrs. White was born Nov. 23, 1922, in Farrell to James R. Wiley and Ethel Rufner Wiley. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Farrell. Mrs. White loved gardening, fishing and embroidery. Her husband, Rozel White, whom she married on March 8, 1979, died March 5, 1980. Surviving are: a son, Alvin "Butch" Wiley and his wife Mae, Farrell; two brothers, Earl R. Wiley, Chicago; and Lewis W. Wiley and his wife JoAnn, Fresno, Calif.; two sisters, Naomi Seaberry, Compton, Calif.; and the Rev. Martha J. Sanders, Farrell; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James, Marvin and Harold K. Wiley; and three sisters, Evelyn Johnson, Almeda Thomas and Hazel Levy.
WHITE Kenneth C. Whitesell Grove City man was Westinghouse retiree Kenneth C. Whitesell, Fellowship Manor, Grove City, died Wednesday morning (12-18-02) in United Community Hospital, Pine Township. He was 61. Mr. Whitesell was born Jan. 8, 1940, in Grove City, a son of John and Sylvia Kelly Whitesell. Now retired, he was employed by the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. and was also self-employed. Mr. Whitesell belonged to American Legion Post 220 in Grove City. His wife, Cynthia E. Hovis Whitesell, whom he married on Feb. 2, 1966, survives. Also surviving are: two sons, John Whitesell and Richard Hagerich, both California; two daughters, Kathy Adkins, Colorado; and Mitzie Stalsworth, California; two sisters, Betty Bailey, Eau Claire, Pa.; and Ruth Anne "Annie" Walter, Grove City; one brother, William Whitesell, Mississippi; and six grandchildren. Mr. Whitesell was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert Whitesell.
