Infant Sarah Grace Baldinelli Infant Sarah Grace Baldinelli, of 1555 Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, died during the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, in University Hospitals of Cleveland, Cleveland. She was 14 days old. Sarah was born Dec. 9, in Sharon, to David Jr., and Cindy Chung Baldinelli. Besides her parents, she is survived by a sister, Alyssa, all at home; two half-sisters, Amanda Baldinelli and Jessica Baldinelli, both of Sharon; and grandparents: David and Hope Baldinelli of Sharpsville; and Un Hwa Chung of West Middlesex. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dong Sup Chung.
BALDINELLI Edith Bryhilda (Stoyer) Christley Masury woman was nurse's aide, in VFW auxiliary Edith Bryhilda (Stoyer) Christley, of Orange Village Care Center, Masury, formerly of 26 Kremis Road, Sugar Grove Township, and Warren, Ohio, died at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, in the nursing home following an extended illness. She was 92. Mrs. Christley was born Aug. 13, 1910, in Dafter Township, Mich., to Arvid L. and Amenda Lovice Hillman. She graduated from Sligo (Pa.) High School in 1927, and attended the former Slippery Rock College to become a teacher. She also attended nursing school at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. Mrs. Christley worked as a nurse's aide at St. Paul's Home of West Salem Township. She attended St. John's Lutheran Church, Greenville. An auxilliary member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7599, Reynolds, she also did income taxes for the elderly. Surviving are: three daughters, Ruth Heslip, of Niles; Mrs. Arthur (Mae) Williams of Burghill, and Mrs. Elmer (Jane) White, of Sharon; a son Roy Christley of Taylorsville, N.C.; two sisters, Margaret Bish of Transfer, and Helen Harvey of Pottstown, Pa.; nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Otto Christley, in 1961, whom she was married to for 31 years; her second husband, Floyd Stoyer in 1996, whom she was married to for 34 years; and a son, Carl Christley.
CHRISTLEY Julia Forker Julia Forker, of Sharon, formerly of Yahres Ave., Sharon, passed away at 11:11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Hospital from an extended illness. She was 77. She was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Sharon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Buhl Park Foundation. Obituary information was incomplete.
FORKER William J. 'Gabby' Grabosky S. Py man was retired electrician, Army veteran A funeral will be held Friday for William J. "Gabby" Grabosky, of 2455 Anchorage Road, South Pymatuning Township, who died at 1:55 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, in the emergency room of the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 79. Mr. Grabosky was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Windber, Pa., to John and Nellie Ocelvany Grabosky. He graduated from Sharon High School on June 5, 1940. Mr. Grabosky served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in France and Germany during World War II. After his discharge from the Army, he entered school to become an electrician. He entered the union in 1948 and received a 50-year membership in 1998 even though he retired in 1985. He belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6166, Hermitage, and the American Legion Post 162, Sharpsville, for more than 35 years, and was also a member of the Faithful Club of Hartford. Mr. Grabosky was a member of the Shenango Valley Lodge 810 of Free & Accepted Masons since 1980, and was a Masonic education teacher and Tyler for the lodge. His wife, the former Eva Barrow, whom he married in 1949, died Jan. 6, 1993. Surviving are: several stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren, and close friend, Tom Sternthal. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, John J. Grabosky.
GRABOSKY Mary Jane Stevenson Mercer woman belonged to Legion auxiliary Mary Jane Stevenson, of 239 W. Butler St., Mercer, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, in her residence. She was 44. Ms. Stevenson was born Feb. 3, 1958, in Grove City, to James and Minnie Batley Stevenson. She was employed as a cook at Vocelli Pizza, Grove City, and formerly worked as a cook at the Burger King in Mercer. Ms. Stevenson belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 159, Mercer. She was of the Protestant faith. Surviving are: a daughter, Michelle Stevenson, Mercer; two sons, Michael Stevenson, Mercer, and Timothy Stevenson, Slippery Rock; her mother, Minnie Stevenson, Mercer; her father James Stevenson, Warren, Pa.; a sister, Paula Mortland, Grove City; and two brothers, James Stevenson, Grove City, and Lee Stevenson, Mercer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Ashbaugh; a grandson, Evan; and two sisters, Shirley Clark and Margaret Williams.
STEVENSON Frank L. Swogger, Sr. Retired steelworker golfed, scored two holes-in-one A funeral service will be held Friday for Frank L. Swogger, Sr., of 29 North Third St., Sharpsville, who passed away peacefully at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 78. He was born on Jan. 6, 1924, in Sharon, the son of Frank Lewis Swogger and Frances Mary Waring Swogger. Mr. Swogger attended Sharon schools. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union and was employed for 35 years at the former Sharon Steel Corp. Farrell plant, where he worked in the Cold Roll Department until his retirement in 1983. Mr. Swogger was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sharpsville. He was an avid golfer and had two holes-in-one during his tenure. During World War II, he served with the United States Army in the European Theater of operations and received five Bronze Stars. His wife, the former Theresa Haney, whom he married on March 6, 1943, passed away on Feb. 10, 1998. His five sons survive: Frank L. Swogger, Jr., and his wife Nancy, Sharon; James F. Swogger and his wife Margaret, Sharpsville; Timothy J. Swogger and his wife Sandra, Sharon; Daniel J. Swogger and his wife Norma, Florida; David M. Swogger and his wife Holly, Sharpsville. He also leaves one sister, Della Mae Jones of West Middlesex, and one brother, William Swogger and his wife, Linder of Ocala, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His two sisters Irene and Eileen Boles preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 19 Jefferson Ave., Sharon, 16146.
