Ty C. Longley Guitarist was '90 Brookfield grad, amplifier sales rep WEST WARWICK, R.I. -- Ty C. Longley of 18415 Dearborn St., Northridge, Calif., formerly of Brookfield, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, in the fire disaster in West Warwick. He was 31. Mr. Longley was born Sept. 4, 1971, in Sharon, the son of J. Patrick Longley and Mary Patricia Drolsbaugh Longley. He was a 1990 graduate of Brookfield High School and was employed as lead guitarist for three years for Great White. He also instructed private guitar lessons in Los Angeles. Ty served as a sales representative for Bad Cat amplifiers. He was a member of Artist Way, a select group of creative members of the arts nationally who meet to promote the arts. He is survived by: his father, J. Patrick Longley and his companion, Sue Perry, Burghill; his mother, Mary Patricia Frederickson and her husband Tim, Valdosta, Ga.; his sister, Audrey Lynn Dinger and her husband Edward, Sharon; his niece, Macie Kaye Dinger, also Sharon; his maternal grandmother, Perry Jane Drolsbaugh, Fort Myers, Fla.; and Ty's companion, Heidi Peralta of Plainfield, Ill. He also leaves many uncles, aunts and stepbrothers. LONGLEY Delores M. 'Bubbles' Buchanan Fleck Pine Twp. woman retired as cook for Orchard Manor Delores M. "Bubbles" Buchanan Fleck, 1054 Enterprise Road, Pine Township, died at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, in her residence after a four-month illness. She was 63. Mrs. Fleck was born March 20, 1939, in Springfield Township to William Eugene Buchanan and Opal Heasley Buchanan. She retired after more than 13 years as a cook for Orchard Manor, Pine Township. She was of the Protestant faith. A former avid bowler, Mrs. Fleck enjoyed camping, traveling and especially her grandchildren. Her husband, Charles A. Fleck, whom she married Feb. 15, 1960, survives at the residence. Also surviving are: a daughter, Lori Stiffy, Grove City; two sons, Donald J. Fleck and his wife Julie Fleck, Jackson Center; and Charles A. Fleck, Hermitage; two sisters, Ruth Craft, Grove City; and Marsha Coursen, Brazil, Ind.; two brothers, Donald J. Buchanan, El Paso, Texas; and Lester Buchanan, Fort Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fleck was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marie Berringer and Doris Panyko; and three brothers, Delbert Buchanan, Dean Buchanan and Thomas Buchanan.
FLECK Richard L. Nicoloff Korean War vet, WM plant retiree owned gas station Richard L. Nicoloff, 849 Wheatland Road, West Middlesex, died at 8 p.m. Thursday (2-27-03) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 73. Mr. Nicoloff was born July 3, 1929, in Farrell to Louis Nicoloff and Anna Mondich Nicoloff. A 1947 graduate of West Middlesex High School, he attended Youngstown State University and retired from Shenango Steel Building, West Middlesex. Prior to that, Mr. Nicoloff previously owned and operated the Nicoloff Gulf Service Station of West Middlesex. An Air Force veteran, he served during the Korean conflict. He was an avid sportsman and was affiliated with West Middlesex Presbyterian Church. His wife, the former Sandra A. Addicott, whom he married July 15, 1953, survives at the residence. Also surviving are: two sons, Jeffrey and his wife Kathy Nicoloff, Hermitage; and Gregory and his wife Susan Nicoloff, Wilmore, Pa.; a sister, Helen Clarke, West Middlesex; and five grandchildren and one great-grandson. NICOLOFF Marjorie Gayle Stowe Agnew '73 Wilmington grad was nurse at Hillview Manor YOUNGSTOWN -- Marjorie Gayle Stowe Agnew, 1517 W. Grant St., New Castle, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown. She was 47. Marjorie was born July 17, 1955, in Sharon to Harvey Stowe and Mary Fleet Stowe. A graduate of Wilmington High School Class of 1973, she was a licensed practical nurse at Hillview Manor, New Castle, having earned her licensed practical nurse credentials at Lawrence County Vocational Technical School. Marjorie was a member of Shenango Presbyterian Church, New Castle. Her husband, Ronald Dexter, survives at the residence. Surviving besides her husband are: one son, David Agnew; and two daughters, Bethany Agnew and Alicia Agnew, all New Castle; two stepdaughters, Cheri Magusiak, West Pittsburgh; and Cynthia Dexter, Ellwood City; one brother, Keith and his wife Joanne Stowe, New Bedford; two sisters, Marilyn and her husband Douglas Wallace; and Marsha and her husband Kenneth Monstwil, all Pulaski; and two grandchildren, Kayla and Emily. She was preceded in death by her parents.
AGNEW Kenneth D. Wimer Retired Cooper GM, WWII vet was active on boards Kenneth D. Wimer, Timber Lane, Grove City, died Thursday afternoon, Feb. 27, 2003, in United Community Hospital, Pine Township, following an extended illness. He was 76. Mr. Wimer was born Oct. 15, 1926, in Worth Township, Butler County, to John F. Wimer and Harriet McCleary Wimer. A graduate of New Castle Business College, he retired as a general manager from H.W. Cooper Co. of Slippery Rock, where he worked for 40 years. Mr. Wimer was a member of East Main Presbyterian Church in Grove City, where he had served as a trustee and elder. He also previously served as an elder and trustee at Eastbrook Presbyterian Church, Hickory Township, Lawrence County. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Wimer served as a staff sergeant in the 20th Infantry Division during World War II. He was completing his 32nd year of service as a member of the board of directors of First National Bank of Slippery Rock. Mr. Wimer was a member of the ALCO committee and building committee and previously served for many years on the audit committee. He also served on the board of the Slippery Rock Financial Corp. since its inception in 1992. He was currently serving on the Pine Township Zoning Board and was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 603, Grove City; and Scottish Rites New Castle Consistory. Mr. Wimer was a former member of Grove City Optimist Club; Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 1579, Grove City; the board of directors for United Community Hospital, Pine Township; and previously served on Grove City Recreational Council. He was the last surviving member of the original board of directors of the Lake Latonka Property Owners Association that founded Lake Latonka. He coached youth sports for many years and, along with two others, were instrumental in building the original Forker Field House at Forker Field in Grove City. He was active for many years in the Slippery Rock Monday Night Bowling League. His wife, the former Beverly R. Alborn, whom he married June 29, 1951, survives at the residence. Surviving besides his wife are: one daughter, Bonnie and her husband William Doyle, Grove City; one son, Derran K. and his wife Susan Wimer, Hudson, Ohio; one sister, Lauretta and her husband Wayne Brandon, Avalon, Pa.; and five grandchildren, Zachary, Michelle and Nicole Doyle; and Andrew and Bradley Wimer. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Geraldine.
WIMER John K. 'Bud' Paxton Hempfield Twp. man worked at Trinity, Stull's John K. "Bud" Paxton, 27 Quarry Hill Road, Hempfield Township, died Thursday morning, Feb. 27, 2003. He was 33. Mr. Paxton was born April 25, 1969, in Greenville to Dan K. Paxton and Linda J. Moore Paxton. He attended Greenville High School and New Castle School of Trades. Mr. Paxton was employed as a welder at the former Trinity Industries in Greenville and also worked part-time for Stull's Refrigeration of Greenville. He was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and singing karaoke. Surviving are: his parents, Dan and Linda Paxton, Greenville; a sister, Kristin L. Paxton; two brothers, Jay E. Paxton and Stephen C. Paxton, all Greenville; and one niece and three nephews. Mr. Paxton was preceded in death by an infant sister, Jesselyn Paxton.
