Andrew Tomko A funeral service will be held Monday for Andrew Tomko, 3945 Esther Lane, Hermitage. He died at 3:37 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 77. Mr. Tomko was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Sharon to Michael Tomko and Susan Ocenas Tomko. He graduated from Sharon High School and Shenango Valley Commercial Institute, Sharon. Mr. Tomko retired from the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., where he worked for 40 years in customer service. He was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church and belonged to Slovenian Home and Athletic Club; Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 103; and the Amputee Club of Sharon Regional Health System, all Sharon. Mr. Tomko was an avid sports fan. His wife, the former Patsy S. Smith, whom he married Nov. 23, 1954, survives at the residence. Also surviving are: one son, Donald Tomko, Fort Myers Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Susan Dyll and her husband John, Sharon; Anne Colt and her husband Ed, Hermitage; and Dorothy Dutka and her husband Jim, Westlake, Ohio; two brothers, Michael Tomko and his wife Betty, Hermitage; and Rudolph Tomko and his wife Jean, Alexandria, Ind.; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Smith, Mercer; three sisters-in-law, Lillian Tomko, Hermitage; Gloria Tomko, Sharon; and Pauline Smith, Daytona Beach Shore, Fla.; one brother-in-law, William Smith, Jamestown; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Tomko was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Vanetti; and three brothers, John, Paul and Edward Tomko. TOMKO Sue Ann Augustson Aley '76 Reynolds High School graduate lived in Greenville Sue Ann Augustson Aley, 20 S. Front St., Greenville, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Friday (3-14-03) in the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Roberta Augustson, 60 Canal St., Greenville. She was 44. Sue Ann was born July 15, 1958, in Greenville, a daughter of Dewey and Grace Bunney Augustson. She was a 1976 graduate of Reynolds High School. Sue Ann enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family. Her former husband, George Aley, survives in Transfer. Surviving besides her brother and sister-in-law and her former husband, are: her daughter, Janelle Hoover and her husband Shawn, Greenville; her son, Scott Aley, Greenville; her parents, Transfer; two other brothers, Terry Augustson, Greenville; and Dan Augustson and his wife Ellen, Mercer; and two granddaughters, Hali Alexis Hoover and Mikhaila Sue Hoover. Sue Ann was preceded in death by her grandparents. No calling hours will be held. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (3-17-03) in Greenville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 63 Conneaut Lake Road, Hempfield Township, with the Rev. Robert Douglas, pastor, officiating. Mary Folwell Miller Nurse served in two wars, had nephew, nieces here BALTIMORE -- Mary Folwell Miller of Oak Crest Village, Parkville, Md., passed away at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2003, in Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 82. Mrs. Miller was born Jan. 16, 1921, in Clarion County, a daughter of Ralph and Edna Thompson Folwell. She served her country during World War II and the Korean conflict, achieving the rank of major in the U.S. Army Nursing Corps. Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Miller; her parents; two brothers, Wesley and David; and a sister, Florence. She is survived by: nephews William Folwell, Las Vegas; James Folwell, Pittsburgh; Patric Folwell, Henderson, Nev.; and Robert Folwell, Fredonia; and nieces Ellen Folwell, Pittsburgh; Kathleen "Kay" Folwell Wilson, Austintown, Ohio; Laurel Walters, Transfer; and Tammy Sue Folwell, Sharon. She also leaves nine great-nieces and -nephews. Tributes may be sent to Oak Crest Village Scholars Fund, 8800 Walther Blvd., Parkville, MD 21234.
