Surviving is a daughter, Phyllis M. Tjabring, Waterloo, Iowa. Incorrect information was given to the Herald.

Mr. Coxson was 75. The Herald listed an incorrect age.


Reba K. Davenport

Reba K. Davenport, 703 Prindle St., Sharon, died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday (8-26-97) in White-Cliff Nursing Home, Hempfield Township. She was 92.

Obituary information was incomplete.

Paul D. Knauff

Volant man retired in 1965 from former Republic Steel

NEW CASTLE _ Paul D. Knauff, Main Street, Volant, died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (8-26-97) in the hospital of Jameson Health System, New Castle, after a brief illness. He was 85.

Mr. Knauff was born Jan. 29, 1912, in Springfield Township to Fred Franklin and Lillie Ella Coryea Knauff.

He was employed in the transportation department of the former Republic Steel, now LTV Steel, from which he retired in 1965.

Mr. Knauff was a member of Leesburg Presbyterian Church.

His first wife, the former Leona Irene Rudolph, whom he married in 1934, died in 1951.

Surviving are: his second wife, the former Hazel Marie Reed, whom he married Nov. 9, 1965; two sons, Regis D., Hermitage; and Estel ``Murph'' Knauff, Gilroy, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Ben (Paula D.) Barker, New Castle; Mrs. Raymond (Myrna J.) Lebre, Malvern, Pa.; and Mrs. John (Marsha Lynn) Mortin, Manassas, Va.; a stepson, Richard Minich, Glendale, Ariz.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Dan (Janet) Hardaway, Phoenix; and Mrs. Brian (Cathy) Scott, Niles, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.


KNAUFF

Paul D., 85, Main Street, Volant.

Calling hours: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday (8-28-97) in SMITH FUNERAL HOME OF LEESBURG, 1778 Perry Highway, Springfield Township.

Service: Funeral at 11 a.m. Friday (8-29-97) in the funeral home, with the Rev. James Bibza, interim pastor of Leesburg Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial: Carpenter Cemetery, Springfield Township.


Richard J. Peterson

Construction worker lived in Farrell, was born in W.Va.

Funeral will be Friday for Richard J. Peterson, 918 Hamilton Ave., Farrell. He died Monday morning (8-25-97) at home of a heart attack. He was 54.

Mr. Peterson was born Jan. 9, 1943, in Morgantown, W.Va., to Percy and Mattie Harris Peterson.

He was a construction worker.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Charlotte Hickenbottom, whom he married Oct. 9, 1979, Allentown, Pa.; four daughters, Nevus Artemus, Allentown; Eldenna Ford, St. Louis; and LaVeita and Violet Gibson, both Pittsburgh; five sons, Richard J. Peterson Jr., Travis, Warren L. and Joseph L. Gibson, all Pittsburgh; and Torance Locke, Dallas; a grandson, Eldridge Hudson, whom he reared, Allentown; his mother, Farrell; three sisters, Frankie Crossland, Mingo Junction, Ohio; Shirley Banks, Pittsburgh; and Delores Peterson, Farrell; three brothers, Nathan L. Dillard, Morgantown; Robert, Farrell; and Jack L., Pittsburgh; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son.


PETERSON

Richard J., 54, of 918 Hamilton Ave., Farrell.

Calling hours: 11 a.m. until time of services Friday (8-29-97) in Second Baptist Church, Farrell.

Service: Funeral at noon Friday in the church, with the Rev. Thomas J. Bolling, pastor, officiating.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
