Anna A. Anderson

Retired dietitian was member of Calvary U.M.

Anna A. Anderson, 63 S. Race St., Greenville, died at 7:25 p.m. Monday (9-1-97) in Horizon Hospital System, Greenville. She was 74.

Mrs. Anderson was born April 22, 1923, in Cherry Tree, Pa., to Arden and Olive Wolfe Allison.

She was a dietitian for what is now Horizon Hospital System, Greenville, retiring in 1985.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Greenville.

Her husband, George C. Anderson, whom she married Oct. 12, 1941, died Jan. 26, 1971.

Surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Bonnie) Carlson, Faribault, Minn.; and Mrs. Dennis (Beckie) Veado, Greenville; a sister, Viva Rimer, Greenville; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Vera Manan, who died in 1986; a sister, Dorothy Seiwers; and a brother, Leland Allison.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 352 W. Eighth St., Erie 16502.

Amelia M. Arbanis

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. _ Amelia M. Arbanis, Clarksville, formerly of Stewart, Tenn., and Greenville, died Tuesday morning (9-2-97) in Clarksville Manor. She was 91.

Betty L. Fisher

Sharon native had worked as nurse's aide in Texas


LONGVIEW, Texas _ Betty L. Fisher, 1303 N. Ferris St., Jefferson, Texas, formerly of Hartford, died at 11:08 p.m. Monday (9-1-97) in Good Shepherd Hospital, Longview, after a heart attack. She was 60.

Mrs. Fisher was born Aug. 3, 1937, in Sharon to George and Agnes Swanson Foster.

She was a nurse's aide in Jefferson.

Mrs. Fisher was a member of Hartford Community Church.

She belonged to the Animal Protection League, Jefferson.

Her husband, Russell ``Bud'' Fisher, whom she married in 1971, died August 1984.

Surviving are: two sisters, Dorothy Tinsley, Hagerstown, Md.; and Janice Cretella, Warren, Ohio; and two brothers, George Foster, Masury; and David Foster, Hartford.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Russell ``Bud'' (Betty L.), 60, of 1303 N. Ferris St., Jefferson, Texas, formerly of Hartford.

Lila E. Irvine, West Salem Township, died at 1:40 a.m. this morning (9-3-97) in St. Paul Homes, West Salem Township. She was 91.

Clara Elizabeth Knauff

Retired office manager was member of historical society

Clara Elizabeth Knauff, Hillcrest Nursing Center, Grove City, formerly East Pine Street, died at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday (9-2-97) in United Community Hospital, Pine Township, after an extended illness. She was 80.

Mrs. Knauff was born Jan. 17, 1917, in Stoneboro to Charles M. and Clara Nelson Elder.

She was a 1935 graduate of the former Stoneboro High School and a 1937 alumna of Grove City College.

Retiring in 1979, she was an office manager for 28 years at Nemo Bottling Co., Grove City.

Mrs. Knauff was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution Gen. Hugh Mercer Chapter; Mercer County Historical Society; and American Association of Retired Persons Grove City Chapter 3423.

She belonged to East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City, where she was active in the Tri-S Sunday School Class.

Her husband, Dennis A. Knauff, whom she married Aug. 30, 1953, died Jan. 30, 1990.

Surviving are: a stepson, Donald A., Sharon; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucinda Weber; a sister, Viola Elder; seven brothers, Harry, Raymond, Leonard, Francis and Charles Elder and two infants.

Mrs. Dennis A. (Clara Elizabeth), 80, formerly of East Pine Street, Grove City.

Joseph E. Reynolds Sr.

Former Grove City resident was Air Force veteran

Joseph E. Reynolds Sr., 818 Pleasantview Drive, Ephrata, Pa., formerly of Grove City, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday (9-2-97) at home after a 15-month illness. He was 52.

Mr. Reynolds was born March 22, 1945, in Grove City to William E. and Ruth Irene Gregg Reynolds.

He was a 1963 graduate of Grove City High School.

An Air Force veteran, he served as an airborne missile maintenance technician during the Vietnam era with the Strategic Air Command.

Mr. Reynolds worked in the mechanical maintenance department of Fluer DeLait Co., New Holland, Pa. He was formerly employed by Jim MacRae Co. and Cooper-Cameron Corp., Grove City.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Ephrata.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Janet E. Snyder, whom he married May 20, 1978; two sons, James, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; and Joseph Reynolds Jr., at home; a daughter, Belinda Luz Reynolds, Aguadilla; his mother, Grove City; and a sister, Elizabeth Travis, Grove City.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Joseph E. Sr., 52, of 818 Pleasantview Drive, Ephrata, Pa., formerly of Grove City.
