Myrtle E. Armour
Mercer woman was dietary worker at former hospitals
Funeral will be Monday for Myrtle E. Armour, 224 W. Butler St., Mercer. She died unexpectedly at 10 p.m. Thursday (9-18-97) in United Community Hospital, Pine Township, of natural causes. She was 75.
Mrs. Armour was born March 24, 1922, in Brookville, Pa., to William Thomas and Margaret Frances Ross Sharp.
She married Harry W. Armour July 31, 1948. He is deceased.
She worked in the dietary departments of the former Mercer Cottage Hospital, Mercer; and the former Bashline-Rossman Hospital, Grove City. She was also a babysitter.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Mercer. She was also a member of Z and Z Rollets Bowling League.
Surviving are: two sons, Richard D., Mercer; and Terry, Greenville; a sister, Sarah M. Nelson, Fredonia; and a brother, Alex Sharp, Sandy Lake; five grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Sharp.

Wayne C. Eberhart
Faith Presbyterian member was retiree, outdoorsman
Funeral will be Tuesday for Wayne C. Eberhart, 2810 Winner Road, Clark. He died Friday morning (9-19-97) at home. He was 88.
Mr. Eberhart was born Oct. 18, 1908, in Youngstown to William and Alice Beil Eberhart.
He married the former Virginia K. Hennessy Sept. 11, 1937.
He worked for 44 years for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, retiring in 1971 as a cold strip steel inspector.
He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, North Hermitage Road, Hermitage. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving, besides his wife, are: two daughters, Mrs. George (Lynn) Jones, Plainfield, Ill.; and Mrs. Jim (Dot) Blomstrom, Liberty Township, Ohio; a son, Clark W., Clark; a brother, Lester, Canfield, Ohio; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Black.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercer County Area Agency on Aging.

Joseph Gjavor
National Fuel truck driver worked for CCC in the '30s
Joseph Gjavor, 8190 Perkins N.E. St., Masury, died at 10:40 p.m. Thursday (9-18-97) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, following an extended illness. He was 79.
Mr. Gjavor was born Oct. 7, 1917, in Farrell to Joseph and Barbara Gjavor.
He attended Sharon schools, and during the 1930s, he worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps. He retired in 1984 as a truck driver with National Fuel.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Sharon, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Wheatland.
Surviving are: three daughters, Mary Ann Mustake, and Vivian Miller, both of Masury; and Gloria Matthews, West Middlesex; two sons, Lloyd Gjavor, and Dali Gjavor, both of Masury; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Michael Gjavor.

Joseph, 79, of 8190 Perkins N.E. St., Masury.

Robert D. Kramerich

Vera Toth Morrison
Belonged to organizations in three area communities
Funeral will be Monday for Vera Toth Morrison, White-Cliff Nursing Home, Hempfield Township, formerly of Hartford and Brookfield. She died at 5:48 a.m. Friday (9-19-97) in Horizon Hospital System, Greenville. She was 84.
Mrs. Morrison was born Feb. 16, 1913, in McKees Rocks, Pa., to Jerome J. and Florence Slater Lloyd.
She was a 1931 graduate of Sharon High School.
A homemaker, she attended Crossroads Christian Fellowship, West Salem Township. She was a member of Brookfield and Hartford firemen's auxiliaries; Hartford Homemakers Club; and Greenville Senior Citizens.
Surviving are: a daughter, Connie Ferguson, with whom she lived; a son Donald J. Toth, Orlando, Fla.; four stepsons, William Morrison, Grafton, Ohio; Fred Morrison, Beaver Falls; Gerald Morrison, Brookfield; and Edward Morrison, Cherry Valley, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two stepsons.
MORRISON
Vera Toth, 84, Hempfield Township, formerly of Hartford and Brookfield.

Ned Purich
Former Farrell man retired from GATX
Funeral will be Monday for Ned Purich, 323 Canterbury Court, Sharpsville, formerly of Farrell. He died at 5:25 a.m. Friday (9-19-97) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 74.
Mr. Purich was born Aug. 2, 1923, in Farrell to Vladamir and Eva Mijich Purich.
He attended Farrell schools.
Mr. Purich was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He worked for Carnegie Steel and General American Transporation Corp.'s former Masury plant, retiring from GATX in 1976 with 31 years service.
He was a member of American Legion Post 162, Sharpsville; and was a Farrell sports fan.
Surviving are: his former wife, Emily Purich; his companion, Phyllis; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Nadine) Alessio, Farrell; and Mrs. Robert (Judy) Bralich, Farrell; three sons, Raymond, Farrell; David, Masury; and Michael, Sharon; a sister, Angeline Budanka, Farrell; two brothers, Milan, Mercer; and Edward, Silver Springs, Md.; and five grandchildren.

Charles W. Sanders
Charles W. Sanders, 161 North Water Ave., Sharon, died at 9:22 a.m. Friday (9-19-97) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was four months old.

Samuel B. Schell
Hermitage man was member of St. Joseph's Church
Mass of Christian burial will be Monday for Samuel B. Schell, 87, John XXIII Home, Hermitage, formerly of Cohassett Drive, who died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday (9-18-97) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System.
Mr. Schell was born Oct. 3, 1909, in Farrell to Vincent and Rose Peri DiCello.
He attended Farrell schools. For more than 25 years he worked at the Armstrong Warehouse Division of Baby Rose Foods, Sharon. He retired from Snyderman Brothers Food Warehouse, Youngstown, in 1973 with 15 years of service.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon. During the 1950s and 1960s he was active with St. Joseph's School Catering. During this time he was also a coach for United Commercial Travelers at the Hickory Little League Field.
A bowler, he was a member of the Catholic Croatian Union Lodge 29 and the Knights of Columbus Bowling leagues.
Surviving are: a daughter Mrs. Richard (Marlene E.) Welch, Scottsdale, Ariz.; a son, Dennis S. Schell, Brookfield; two sisters, Elizabeth Zaccola, Sharon; Mary Schell, Farrell; four brothers, Nick DiCello, Charleston, S.C.; Louis Schell, Youngstown; Joseph Schell, Farrell; and Frank Schell, Baldwin Park, Calif.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, the former Matilda ``Tillie'' Schuster, whom he married Feb. 10, 1935, and who died March 1, 1994, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Angela Scarmack, and Theresa Paceleo, and two brothers, Peter and Ted Schell.
Memorial contributions may be made to John XXIII Home, 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, or St. Joseph's School, 760 E. State St., Sharon.

Louise D. Unger
Greenville homemaker was First U.M. Church member
Louise D. Unger, Greenville, died at 10 a.m. Friday (9-19-97) in Horizon Hospital System, Greenville.
Mrs. Unger was born Jan. 6, 1924, in Ellwood City to Harold E. and Ruth M. Hatton Christy.
She was a graduate of the former Penn High School, Greenville.
She married Jack E. Unger June 21, 1945. He died Dec. 8, 1995.
Mrs. Unger was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Greenville.
Surviving are: three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Sandra) George; Mrs. James (Betty) Junk; and Jackie Marquardt, all Greenville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha J. Sowash and Sarah E. Stephens; and a brother, Robert W. Christy.
