City woman gets 1 to 4 years for indecent assault

A Sharon woman accused of having sexual contact with a minor will spend time in jail for her offenses.

Amanda Dillon, 39, of Strawbridge Avenue, Sharon, was sentenced Monday to 1 to 4 years in prison by Judge Francis Fornelli of Mercer County Common Pleas Court on a charge of indecent assault and 3 months to a year in prison on a charge of corruption of minors. The sentences are to be served consecutively.

In January, Ms. Dillon pleaded guilty to both charges. She was given credit for the 73 days already spent in jail.

Police said that on Sept. 14 Ms. Dillon assaulted an 11-year-old girl by touching her genitals and breasts. The assault occurred in Ms. Dillon’s First Avenue home in Sharon, police said.
