Shootings called murder, suicide
State police at Seneca are calling a Saturday shooting a homicide and suicide between an Oil City-area man and his girlfriend.
Amy B. Coughlin, 37, and Edward T. McCutcheon, 54, lived together in President Township, Venango County, police said. They were found at about 6 p.m., apparently shot to death, police said. Autopsies will be performed.
McCutcheon is believed to have shot Ms. Coughlin and then himself, police said. The shooting occurred between 4:30 and 6 p.m.
