Police looking for whoever stole handgun

The following is this week’s Mercer County Crime Solvers case:

  • Crime: Burglary and theft.

  • Details: Someone entered a house between Feb. 15 and March 30 in the 1100 block of George Street in Sharon. A Jennings .22- caliber, semi-automatic handgun with a silver finish and black hand grips was stolen. A holster, to be worn inside the pants, was also stolen.

  • Call: Crime Solvers at 347-HELP, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Callers can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a cash reward. Anyone with information can also call the Sharon police at 983-3210.

  • Reward: Crime Solvers is a nonprofit organization which offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for a serious crime in the Mercer County area.
