JAMESTOWN
Bob Gay award winners named
Winners of the Bob Gay Memorial Scholarship Awards were announced at the Jamestown Volunteer Firemen's Association Recognition Dinner and Service Awards program in April.
Winners are: Scott Walker, Travis Tuttle, David J.Basnak, Danielle Fry and Trista Jones, all of Jamestown High School and Kyle M. Foltz of West Middlesex High School.
The scholarships are named for the late Robert T. Gay, who retired as an instructor at the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics to the Jamestown area, where he became an active volunteer in the fire department.
The scholarships also honor the memory of all deceased men and women of the fire department and the many contributions of active members.
The scholarships of $500 to $1,000 will be given to recipients at their high school senior award assemblies.
