Entertaining garden expert to speak June 14

The Crawford County Master Gardeners invite the public to hear nationally known garden expert Felder Rushing on June 14 at Meadville Area Junior/Senior High School.

Felding, an entertaining 20-year horticulture educator, will present "The Garden Rules ... And Why They Stink." Cost is $2 a person.

Rushing owns a cluttered cottage garden that has been featured in national publications.

Also, Penn State Master Gardeners are invited to an in-service program from June 15 in the high school.

Registration is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., followed by three sessions. The day ends at 5 p.m. and there will be a tour at 5:30 p.m. of Ernst Conservation Seed Farm.

Cost is $15 and should be sent to Master Gardener garden camp registration, Crawford County Penn State Extension, 13400 Dunham Road, Suite A, Meadville 16335-8444.
