Two people were treated at local hospitals after a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 4:20 p.m. Monday on Highland Road just east of Dutch Lane, Hermitage police said.

A vehicle driven by Ryan Jones, 17, of 70 Bedford Road in Shenango Township, rear-ended another vehicle, driven by Jeffrey Chaser, 42, of S. Crescent Drive, Hermitage.

Both drivers were westbound on Highland Road and Chaser was waiting to turn left onto Dutch Lane from Highland Road when he was hit from behind, police said.

Chaser was treated at UPMC Horizon, Farrell, and Jones, who police said was cited for failure to stop, was treated at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System.
