Brookfield police spent several hours Tuesday morning searching for a naked man seen roaming a local golf course.

Police said a groundskeeper at Yankee Run Golf Course spotted a nude white man with a white beard at 9:30 a.m. standing near the creek by the 15th hole of the course.

The groundskeeper walked near the man, who appeared lost, and asked if he needed some help but he didn't respond, according to a Yankee Run employee.

She said when the groundskeeper asked the man a second time, the man jumped into the river, which doesn't run deep.

Police said they searched for the man for several hours but were unable to locate him.
