Man accused of stealing cash from ex-wife

A Shenango Township man already facing charges of twice assaulting his ex-wife has been accused of stealing money from her.

Greg Adams, 44, of 372 Sharon-Bedford Road, was charged Nov. 15 with access device fraud. Adams waived the charge for court Dec. 20 before District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage.

Mala Adams reported Sept. 24 that Adams had her automated teller machine card, and that she did not permit him to have it, police said.

Bank video showed he used it Sept. 13 and 14, withdrawing a total of $1,000, police said.

Adams also was charged with aggravated and simple assault and making terroristic threats for assaulting Ms. Adams Sept. 3 at home, police said. After Ms. Adams refused to let Adams use her car, he shoved her across the kitchen, choked her and held a knife to her throat, police said.

She escaped, but he caught her, choked her and pushed her down steps, police said.

Adams kicked her several times and slammed her head against a wall, police said.

Adams also was charged with aggravated assault, robbery, reckless endangerment, theft and making terroristic threats for pushing and hitting his ex-wife on Sept. 22, and holding a steak knife to her until she surrendered the keys to her car, police said.
