A Sharon man has been charged with sexually assaulting a sleeping 15-year-old girl Saturday night in Farrell, police said.

Kirk D. White, 30, of 370 Ormond Ave., was arrested at 11:43 a.m. Tuesday at home on charges of rape and indecent assault, police said.

White was at a party at 124 Fruit Ave. and went upstairs at about 5 a.m., where the girl was unconscious in a bedroom, police said.

As he assaulted her, a woman found them and knocked him off the girl, police said. He ran from the house, police said.

In 1990, White, who was tried as an adult at 17, pleaded guilty to indecently assaulting a 10-year-old girl in Sharon.

White was arraigned by District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage, and taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
