2011 was a great year for
the revived aluminum mill lo-
cated in the outskirts of
Greenville. ILSCO Extru-
sions Inc. capped its first full
year of operation by achiev-
ing ISO9001:2008 certifica-
tion and launching a new
website.
IEI is owned by ILSCO
Corp., a major manufacturer
of branded
p r o d u c t s
and compo-
nents for the
e l e c t r i c a l
and energy
m a r k e t s .
The ILSCO footprint in-
cludes complimentary opera-
tions in three countries and
four U.S. states.
In Greenville, IEI has
been experiencing steady
growth since re-opening in
late 2010. In addition to pro-
ducing ILSCO’s extruded
aluminum components, the
company has been connect-
ing with customers in the
transportation, building prod-
uct and industrial machinery
markets with great success.
IEI adds value to every step
of a customer’s supply chain
– from custom aluminum ex-
trusion and design to just-in-
time inventory replenish-
ment.
The company delivers on
the entire process including
extrusion, precision cutting,
fabricating, finishing, assem-
bly, and supply management
services. The IEI team is a
veteran group, most having
worked at the plant under
previous ownership.
The IEI campus is expan-
sive, comprised of 165 acres
of land and almost 700,000
square feet of buildings. The
main plant boasts a cast
house, four extrusion press-
es, nine fabrication cells, and
significant assembly and
warehousing capabilities.
The site’s potential extends
well beyond the typical alu-
minum extrusion facility.
Management views the
setting as an industrial busi-
ness park. Five long term
tenants have been secured
with businesses ranging
from world headquarters and
call center to manufacturing,
warehousing and distribu-
tion, 4G wireless services,
and natural gas extraction.
These key relationships
serve as a foundation from
which to grow and IEI still
has 80 acres and 200,000
square feet available for im-
mediate development.
