Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa.

Local students were among nearly 320 students to graduate May 13 from Westminster College, New Wilmington. Unless otherwise indicated, degrees conferred were bachelor's degrees. They are:

  • Farrell -- Catherine M. Gracenin, master's degree in elementary prinipal program.

  • Grove City -- James M. Anderson, master's in secondary principal program; and Matti R. Carothers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Carothers, English.

  • Hermitage -- Kara L. Benedict, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Benedict, accounting.

  • Hubbard -- Alan S. Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Bailey, English; and Marilyn R. McCallister, master's in counselor education.

  • Jackson Center -- Peggy A. Donaldson, business administration, magna cum laude.

  • Masury -- Kenneth S. Wellendorf, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wellendorf, public relations.

  • Mercer -- Sarah A. Knopp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Knopp, English, magna cum laude; Brian C. Lawson, master's in counselor education; and Jacolyn M. Syka, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Syka, elementary education.

  • New Wilmington -- Kathleeen J. Edmiston, summa cum laude; Brett C. Hoover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hoover; and Mark B. Johnston, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Lyle Johnston, all busines administration; Virginia L. Lilly, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gary Lilly, English, summa cum laude; Joseph M. Onderko, master's in counselor education; Kimberly G. Romig, accounting; Jennifer L. Roth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Roth, elementary education; and Brent M. Witgen, psychology.

  • Sharon -- The Rev. Lora A. Adams-King, elementary education, and Nicole S. Lombardi, master's in reading.

  • Sharpsville -- Kimberly A. Barrett, daughter of Patricia Barrett, accounting, cum laude; and Trista L. Corey, master's in counselor education.

  • Volant -- Shadra B. Kendall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Kendall, business administration, cum laude.

  • West Middlesex -- Tiffanie A. Radford, daughter of Geralyn Hoak, elementary education.

    Students graduating summa cum laude earned grade point averages of 3.9 or higher on a scale of 4; magna cum laude, 3.7; cum laude, 3.5.
