Boston A.B.C. won a pair of Open Division games Friday in round-robin play to advance to today's semifinal round in the 60th anniversary Sharon Lion's Club-W.U. Hoyle Tournament of Champions.

In the semifinals, Boston A.B.C. will play Radisson/Wave at noon, followed by Metro Index-Pittsburgh JOTS at 1:15.

Championship games are set for today, featuring Kennedy Christian versus Grove City in the Girls' Underclassmen Tourney at 3 p.m., while Kennedy Christian meets Slippery Rock in the Boys' Underclassmen Division at 4:30.

The annual Mercer County boys' and girls' all-star games will culminate the week-long action at 7:30 and 9 p.m., respectively. Awards ceremony will follow.

Following are Friday's game results:

Boston A.B.C. 97
NW Pa. Cougars 55
Shannon Crooks and Sean Connolly scored 22 and 21 points, respectively to lead Boston A.B.C. past the NW Pa. Cougars.

Scott Clark added 18 for BABC, which went into halftime ahead by a 49-31 margin. John DePina added 14 points and Jamal Camah had 12.

Richard Bush had 15 points to pace the Cougars, who were outscored 48-24 in the second half. Julian Blanks added 11 points and Greenville's Ryan Oman had one 3-pointer.

Y.E.S. Future Stars 92
Franklin 68
Clayton Brown's 20 points led five Future Stars players who scored in double figures en route to the win.

Charles Stanfield and Brian Carroll each had 16 and Naron Jackson and Andy Wormsley both chipped in a dozen.

The 'Stars led at the half, 52-27.

Jeff Loeffert paced Franklin with 18 points.

Ohio Players 59
University of Pittsburgh recruit Steve Flores led Metro-Index with 14 points while Penn State football recruits Sam Crenshaw and LaVar Arrington chipped in 13 and 11 points, respectively in the win.

Dave Young led the Ohio Players, who trailed 39-27 at the half, with 19 points, and Anthony Jackson chipped in 10.

Mercer County Club 56
Dubrey Black scored 29 points, paced by six 3-pointers, to lead the Ohio 'Stars. Doug Taylor chipped in 15 points, while Mike Collier and Alfrado Jackson each had 13 and Rashon Brown added 10.

Matt Nikoloff led Mercer County Basketball Club, which was down 56-26 at halftime, with 20 points, and Shane Meling had 12 points and Martin Oberman 11.

Holiday Inn/Wave 92
NW Pa. Cougars 63
Andy Bush and Pat Spitler both scored 11 points to lead Holiday Inn/Wave past the NW Pa. Cougars.

Tory Jones added 10 for the winners.

Julian Banks led the Cougars with 21 points, while Richard Bush and Nathan Smith added 15 and 11, respectively.

Franklin 48
A quartet of JOTS scored in double figures as they rolled to victory.

Eugene Land led the way with 25 points, Mike Jebbia added 13, Brandon McIntosh 12 and Matt Carroll 10. Hickory High's Geoff Evans scored seven points, including two 3-pointers.

Elu Lawrence had 12 points and Dave Smith 10 for Franklin, which trailed 51-21 at halftime.

St. John's-bound Shannon Crooks scored 25 points to lead Boston A.B.C.

Sean Connolly and John DePina had 16 and 14, respectively, for the winners, who trailed 29-27 at halftime.

Charles Stanfield had 23 points for the Future Stars, while Brian Caroll added 17 and Courtney Wallace 11.

Ohio Players 76
Twelve players scored to lead Radisson/Wave. Andre Hutson led the way with 20 points, while Jamal Davis had 17, Ashkan Rajee 13 and Chet Washington 11.

Dave Young scored a game-high 32 points for Ohio, which was down 54-43 at halftime. Robert Curd and Shen Kerr both had 12.

Notes: The raffle for the 1961 Studebaker will take place before today's Mercer County girls' all-star game. ... Students in the sixth grade or younger will be admitted free today, provided they are accompanied by a paying adult. ... Half-court and 3-point shooting contests for fans will take place throughout the day's schedule.
