MERCER COUNTY ALL-STAR GAMES

North All-Stars take 2

Commodore Perry's Joe Anderson scored 25 points to lead the Little Mac's Sharon Chrysler Plymouth (North) past Stupka Pontiac-Olds (South), 76-72, in the Mercer County Boys All-Star Game Saturday at Sharon High School.

Anderson garnered MVP honors for his performance, while teammate Shane Meling from Slippery Rock contributed 13 points.

West Middlesex's Todd Kiester earned MVP honors for the South squad, scoring 12 points, with Lakeview's Martin Oberman chipping in 12 points. The North led 41-32 at the half en route to the victory.


GIRLS
Daffin's (North) 51
Lenbil's (South) 44

Marisa Taylor of Slippery Rock paced Daffin's with 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, while Reynolds' Heather Powell added 10 in the winning effort.

Powell's effort earned her MVP honors for the North squad. Kennedy Christian's Colleen Hough was South MVP after scoring 11 points.

Wilmington's Serene Ross also had 11 for Lenbil's, which trailed 30-21 at halftime.
