» Commodore Perry 67, West Forest 42 -- At West Forest, the Panthers stormed through the opening quarter and needed little more after that, outscoring West Forest 24-6 in the opening frame and never trailing on their way to a perfect 5-0 start.

Eric McCullough led the way for Commodore Perry, rifling home a game-high 16 points. Following him was Josh Nagel with 11 points.

Greathouse bagged 11 points for West Forest.

» Hickory 61, Reynolds 43 -- At Transfer, Hickory rode a 19-7 second quarter to its fifth victory of the season, paced by a balanced outside-inside attack on offense.

Taking care of the inside was Chere´ Marshall, who bucketed a game-high 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. From the outside, Erica Viselli knocked down four 3-pointers for 12 points and also quarterbacked the offense with 8 assists and 4 steals. Also for the Hornettes (5-2), Cathy Powell chipped in 11 points and 8 boards, and Colleen Gottuso added 8 points to 7 rebounds.

Jess Saul knocked down a dozen points to finish as the leader for the Lady Raiders (3-2), while Marti Shellenbarger had 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.

"We were down by 17 and cut the lead to six points," Reynolds coach Justin Magestro said. "Even though we lost, I thought our girls showed a lot of character."


» Shenango 38, West Middlesex 33 -- At Shenango, the Lady Wildcats improved to 2-4 by topping a Middlesex club that struggled for 12 total points in the second half.

The loss spoiled a 10-point, 14-rebound double-double for Kris Wingard, a 13-point effort from Katie Repko and a 7-point, 5-assist, 4-steal outing for Jill Bowser.

Rachel Butchelle notched 12 for Shenango, while Deanna Pascarella knocked home 11.

At Sharon, the Tigers from Ohio had little problem disposing of the Tiger Sharks from Sharon.

Swimming to firsts for Sharon were: Jeff Simmons in the 100 free (59.06) and Brenna Anderson in the 100 back (1:11.37).
