Lewistown Holiday tourney

For the seventh consecutive season Reynolds High dominated the annual event, as all 13 Raiders' wrestlers placed.

Reynolds amassed 261 points to easily outdistance the remainder of the 8-team field which included Indian Valley (153), Lewistown (128 1/2), Mount Union (126), Central Cambria (108), Shippensburg (103), Cocalico (98 1/2) and West Branch (90).

Reynolds' Justin Hollobaugh was selected as most outstanding wrestler after winning his fourth straight individual crown. In addtion to Hollobaugh (130), who won all three of his bouts including a 6-5 verdict over Indian Valley's Matt Shank for the championship, other Reynolds' winners included:

Jake Habel (112), who edged Cocalico's Matt Sittery, 5-4; Travis Battles (130), Owen Brickell (140) and Nick Hunt (145), who posted technical falls over Lewistown's Josh Hower, Josh Hassinger and Tyler Walker, respectively. Battles' win was 22-7; Brickell bested Hassinger 21-6, and Hunt dominated Walker, 22-7. All five matmen posted 3-0 tourney ledgers. Also, Jason Brown (103) won two bouts, including a 5-2 verdict over Indian Valley's Andrew Winters en route to his crown.

Reynolds' runners-up included Chris White (119), who was decisioned by Shippensburg's Jamie Chambers, 9-2; Nick Sommerfeld (189), who was pinned by Mount Union's Josh Kirsch in 31 seconds, and Mike Hills (275), who was blanked by Central Cambria's Nate Morris, 3-0. All three Raiders ended 2-1 in the tourney.

Also for Reynolds, Tyler Middleton (135), Joel Davis (152), John Svirbly (160) and Jesse Tumpak (171) all carded 3-1 ledgers.
