`Co-MVP in AAA boys' play`

The Mercer County Athletic Conference all-star basketball teams were announced Friday, with the county's second all-time leading scorer, Hickory's Geoff Evans, and Grove City senior standout Amos Upshaw finishing as co-Most Valuable Players in boys' Class AAA.

In AA, Greenville junior Ryan Oman took the honor, while in A, it was West Middlesex senior Steve Bowers.

On the girls' side, Jamie Cicuto, a sophomore who led Kennedy Christian to the PIAA Class A semifinals, garnered MVP honors. In Class AA, Grove City junior Mandy Clelland took the honor, and in AAA, it was Slippery Rock junior Jamie Dick.
