Winners of The Herald's 2nd-annual Valentine's Day essay contestContestants poured out love from their heartsClick on names to read essays``HOW DO I love thee? Let me count the ways'' is the title line from ``Sonnets From the Portuguese'' by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. And those who entered The Herald's second annual Valentine's Day contest counted the many ways they share a love with their partner. This year, The Herald received 52 entries to the contest. The winners are: First place: Kim Svirbly, Masury, who won a weekend getaway at a local hotel. Second: Cindy Michael, Grove City, who won a gift certificate for dinner at a local restaurant. Third: DiAnne Evans, Sharpsville, gift certificate. Fourth: Joanne Bonacci Titus, Transfer, gift certificate. Fifth: Robert T. Good, Grove City, gift certificate. In a note included with Mrs. Michael's entry, she wrote, ``Although it might not be the most eloquently written article, it came from the heart.'' That sentiment seems to sum up how all the entries were submitted. |
